My wife is the best trip planner as she chooses places based on location, parking, price, and breakfast. Deutsches Haus was the best choice for our July holiday. This hotel is superb in every regard. The receptionist who checked us in was extremely polite. She walked us up to our quaint little room which seemed like a cottage with a balcony. We had so much privacy. For parking, while it was extra, the staff parked the car for you. I like that idea. It is interesting how each hotel handles COVID differently with respect to breakfast. This place had me select items on line and schedule a dining time. The next day, we walked into one of the most beautifully decorated dining halls with extravagant wood work. Our table looked priceless with such an amazing display of food. We also ordered scrambled eggs with bacon. Because of COVID, we have not been able to travel much; however, this place ranks as the best so far with respect to the quaintness, the quality, and the restaurant, which is rated separately. It was one of the best dinners too!

So historic and luxurious. We could only book the honeymoon suite and out 13 year old son got an extra bed in the room. It was super spacious with a great huge luxury bathroom. We had dinner too at the hotel and we have not eaten so awesome in a long time!

- avoid 2nd floor rooms - they are doing full renovation of floor above throughout the day - worst pillows I have ever had in a hotel - no alternative offered - very poor sleep - very poor value - given a small room with no clear window, tucked down side of hotel (despite hotel being 1/2 empty and being refused an alternative room) - characterless - hotel appears to get away with high prices due to location alone

We were sad to only stay here for one night, as we were on our way to Austria. The staff speaks perfect English, runs the extra mile with always being ready to help and they park your car after unloading it. The staff immediately tried their best to fix us some plant based milk for breakfast, when we asked if it was possible. Dinner at the hotel was excellent as well. The hotel itself is marvellous, right in the city Center overlooking to church. There are some nice little shops too. As we brought our dog, there is a perfect place to walk closeby where dogs can be off the leash, just 2 minutes from the hotel. It’s the city park which allows you to walk along the city walls in nature. We definitely be back!

Went there with my husband tonight, chose the menu as we always like to be surprised. The pumpkinsoup was a real good start. The meat we had was so soft, it melted in our mouths. As we didn’t make a reservation we ended up in the corner at the back of the restaurant. The main part is realy authentic. Next time (there will certainly be a next time) I would make a reservation so we could sit and enjoy the main part of the restaurant. But realy enjoyed the whole menu! Also a very nice and friendly staff.
