We stayed there as walk-ins, without prior reservation. The room was very big, with the funiture and fixtures a little bit dated. It had the feeling of the 1980s but was spotless and well maintained. The breakfast (buffet-style) was sumpteous and very plaesant to eat outdoors in the morning. The room was facing the main street but was quiet.

Highly recommend this hotel, its Location is right opposite Augsburg hbf station very handy when you arrive very late at night and leave very early in the morning. We had a room on the 4th floor, with great views the room itself was very spacious, with modern facilities including a mini fridge and free wifi (although no kettle) also the...

Which elevates the Riegele to very good rather than average. Our first ever taste of traditional Swabian fare - panfried veal with baby onions and spatlese - went down rather well, and the dining room itself was lovely, as were the staff. Our room was clean but perhaps due a makeover. But next morning how a panel of our shower...

Staff is excellent! This is the most positive at the hotel. Rooms are furnished a la Soviet stile. Furniture (table, chairs) about 30-40 years old. No conditioning. When window is open - a lot of noise from the street. Old curtains. Destroyed sockets. Wi-Fi does not working in the room - need to go to the restaurant.

Quiet room ( facing the back ). Clean, light, modern, friendly. Super staff. I wanted to leave some motorbike stuff there for a day and pick it up later. They made me very comfortable with this and charged me nothing extra. My motorbike was safe in their backyard. Extremely nice gesture. Highly recommended

The rooms where nice and clean, so was the bath room. The staff was very friendly except of the owner's wife (i think it was the wife but i am not sure), who was unfriendly to other staff and even to us guests. nevertheless our stay as a family was very nice. Even though some of the rooms are facing...

Unless you are arriving on the train and need a close location, this hotel is not worth the search. The staff is not terribly helpful, and the highly touted "parking" is basically non-existent. The location is noisy and in an unattractive part of the city. The one redeeming feature - the restaurant serves excellent food. So, eat here - but...

I stayed for a week in Augsburg in mid-September just as Oktoberfest was beginning. (Yes, Oktoberfest begins in September!) Although it was a business trip, we had quite a lot of time to tour this part of Bavaria. Augsburg is a lovely and safe city. The hotel is across from the Hauptsbahnhoff (train station) and yet is quiet and convenient....
