This is a very convenient hotel in this wonderful city. We followed the Rick STEVES walking tour and it was very easy to do from this starting point. We saw wonderful architecture and sights. We were lucky and were given a suite, which was spacious and lovely. Breakfast was nice too.

Just stayed for a congress and knowing the hotel since years. Never change a winning team might not always be the best choice, especially for hotel installations from the 80's. At a trade show price of nearly 200 Euro hot water should be a must ... not this time and cold showers are not my cup of tea. The breakfast...

We are frequent travelers in southern Germany, Tirol, and much of northern Italy. Our favorite haunts are small gasthauses in the countryside. But on occasion, we like a day or two in historic cities. The challenge for us is finding that small gasthaus charm and service, in bigger cities. The Avenue Hotel delivers on charm and service from the perspective...

Nice Hotel! Good size room and very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. I forgot my laptop power adaptor and reception was quick to help me and provided me with one. Great location! Very short walk to Christkindlesmarkt. Breakfast was very good and included in the room rate, which, by the way, was very reasonable. I most definitely recommend this...

Enitre staff is very friendly and very service oriented. Rooms are clean and functional and of reasonable size. First room I was given was very nice and but overlooked main street. Initially I thought this would not be a problem, but when I pulled the curtains to block out the light from the signs across the street, I found out...

An overnight in the center of town and the room was clean and fine. But for the money I think one could expect a better breakfast and an overhaul of the dated entry and breakfast room. I will look further for my next stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Avenue. The staff immediately made us feel welcome. We had a lovely room - the "penthouse" suite, in fact, with sitting area and balcony. The breakfasts were also pretty good, although there are nearby restaurants, if you'd prefer a change.

A great little hotel with good friendly staff. Best location to visit old city and castle. Excellent breakfast served from 6:30 to 10 am. Clean and quiet hotel. We were able to walk everywhere because there are lots of restaurants and stores just outside the hotel. They are fixated on the beds being ajustable for hardness. Should just get better...

We were unsure about this place although we were very much interested in location for our trip and had a limited budget. Location indeed turned out to be great, literally 5 minutes walk from most interesting places in the historical center. Perhaps because we had such low expectations and the hotel does not look too impressive from the outside, we...

The hotel is an easy walk from the weissturm stop on the U1 with a single challenge-it is down a narrow entrance that looks like it should be to a private residence. Arriving you are overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke at the entrance, up the steps and at the reception desk. My room was not ready to I...

“Like many hotels in Germany there are rooms where smoking is allowed. If you want a smoking free room check before booking or give the hotel a call. The staff is polite and speaks a reasonably good English. Quieter rooms are *USUALLY* on the north side.”
