I booked this hotel in March for a two night stay in May. I received an email from the hotel saying, "Ihre Zahlung wurde bestätigt. (payment confirmed)" So, all good. When I arrived, I was told that my reservation was "storniert" (cancelled). I asked why. The receptionist said she didn't know. Another receptionist told me that maybe my credit card was not accepted by Accor because they are in France. Accor is the parent company. I asked why my Deutsche Bank credit card, which I have used all over the world, would be rejected by a company because it was in France. She did not know. I was in town for a class and had to take another room, for which I was charged 71.10€ more than my booking price. I used the same credit card, and...it worked. Ok, this is obviously a scam being run by Accor or by the local hotel. I'm not sure which. I emailed Accor and they tell me that they cancelled it because I did not pay. But I have a confirmation that says I DID pay. So this is obviously a lie. And even if my card was rejected, why didn't the company send me an email informing me so that I could pay a different way? Whether they are incompetent or fraudulent, there is no excuse for their behaviour. I demanded a refund of the 71.10 extra charge and they refused. Well then my answer is that I will never again book a room at an Accor-owned hotel.…
This brand used to be good, a very long time ago, but now Accor has 40 brands under their control so now it's just a bland corprorate machine. Extremely rude senior desk staff and management. If you have a problem they will tell you it's your problem, not theirs. Super noisy rooms. Blocked showers. Breakfast is made from a food grade below a UN food parcel. And if you try and complain, good luck trying to find a phone number where they speak English, because despite them saying there is one, there isn't. And your email complaint? Don't bother as that goes straight to their "We don't give a f*#k" box. They should just have a sign above the entrance saying "Give us your money then hurry up and leave" Save your money and sleep in a tent.
When we arrived the we parked in the under ground car park only to find the lifts not working.Finaly got to our rooms roasting hot.Went into Munich to get some food and the subway station is only a 10 minute walk away good.On our return air conditioning still not working informed to put it onto max and wait half an hour.Receptionist put the air conditioning on in another room so we could change rooms.Half an hour later first working rooms air conditioning not went to new room air conditioning not working either slightly cooler room.Receptionist said "what do you expect for a one star" air conditioning, free coffee making and complimentary water as advertised on the website This isn't budget try staying in a hostel for a third of the cost RIP OFF
The room is small but fine for just relaxing for a night or two. Washbasin and Shower are small, but just ok for the price i think. The check in service is good. Breakfast is decent and sufficient. There is car parking that costs you just 8 Euro per day. Very near to Metro station "Oberwiesenfeld".
Locates in a quiet area and a short walk from the metro. The room interior design is very similar to other Ibis budget. The room is clean and the cleaning service is very good. The staff who handled the check-in was courteous and fast. Breakfast area is large. The breakfast menu is very much like other Ibis budget hotels in Germany. For the value, there is nothing to complain about. In all, it was a perfect stay in Munich to explore the beautiful Bavaria region.
