As first time guests we were delighted with our room and the general amentiites available. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and welcoming. Staff were super helpful! 5 stars is NOT enough they deserve 10! The food and atmosphere in the restaurant was superb too.
Wonderful hotel. Have stayed on several occasions and have really enjoyed the hospitality and the authentic welcome. Warm and professional staff, rooms are cosy Bavarian style, always clean and comfortable with a fruit plate, water and a chocolate waiting on the bedside table. Rooms in the main building are best although the rooms above the restaurant annex are perfectly fine and functional. Good bathroom products and lovely beds (always a good sleep!). The gym is small but clean and has a few machines. Even better, the hotel is very close to the Englisch Garten which is fantastic for running and walking. The hotel is just 10 mins by car/taxi to the centre. Breakfasts are excellent, as endorsed by other reviewers. Great range of yoghurts, fresh cake/patisserie/bread, homemade terrines, cheese boards and cold hams, smoked salmon, prawns etc. Very enjoyable. Highly recommended if you want to stay outside the city centre. Looking forward to another stay. …
Stated there for a long weekend.Bavarian style rooms. Small but spotless. Good service, comfortable bed. When booking, ask for the main building. We stayed at the annex, no elevators, so you have to carry your baggage up one or 2 floors. Amazing restaurant which I will review separately. One negative point about the annex: you have to go through the restaurant and pass the diners in order to reach your room. Not very pleasant. Overall a good hotel!
- Located near a park in the outskirts of Munich - Charming and rustic, like a countryside hotel in a big city - 2 buildings: main and annex (restaurant building) - great, friendly service - most hotel employees wear traditional Bavarian outfits - the rooms are small to mid size, beautiful rooms with a character - very clean, very quiet - ask for a room in the back, with a park view - comfortable bed - sufficient lights and electrical outlets - Great breakfast, not to be missed - The Restaurant of the Hotel is famous, need to book in advance - caution about the annex building (where the restaurant is): no elevator and you need to walk through the restaurant to reach the rooms - no safe -box in our room - no coffee machine, no minibar, no refrigerator - overall, a great memorable experience…
I stayed in many hotels and this is definitely on of the best. a warm welome, beautiful room with all the little things that makes the difference. Fresh fruit plate every day, water bottles, chocolate . The room and bathroom were not big but spotless clean. Nespresso machine in the room is wonderful! And the breakfast!!! Best hotel breakfast ever!
