This is our 2nd time there .. Marion is great, always welcoming and ready to help if she can.. This is in the best location, so close to Marienplatz and right in the city centre, the location is free from noise and all the hustle and bustle that goes on so close by. There are many shops and restaurants all close as well as many of the tourist areas, transport is close and always reliable. We had a double room with a shared bathroom, but the bathroom is always clean and never any problems with waiting to use it; the continental breakfast has everything a person can want and always fresh; she is there also to top things up as needed..There is a small elevator, that"s fine... IMO you can't get a better place & location for the price ...
Pension Lindner is right near the city center of Munich, making sightseeing very walkable. The room was clean and functional, if a little small for 3 adults. Breakfast was delicious, and Marion was very friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat, so if you are looking for somewhere in the heart of Munich, consider staying here!
This property was a great value for the close location to the Marienplatz. We had a double with bathroom, and a single across the hall with out a bathroom. This only worked because the single was for my teenager. Rooms were small but functional. Marion was very pleasant.
When travelling in large cities I find it best to stay as close to the city center as possible. Of course, what you give up is amenities and sometimes the peace and quiet of being further away from the action. Pension Lindner is one of those accommodations that isn't the largest or the fanciest but it does have great location. It is located about 3-5 minutes from the Marienplatz. It is located on a pedestrian only street so car noise wasn't a problem. Finding the pension, however, is a bit challenging. The rooms are on the small side. The bathroom is also very small but served its purpose fine which is resting and coming to a clean room after a day of exploring. The breakfast is good with a wide variety of breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt and fruits. Again, if you are looking for a full service hotel, this is not the place. However, if you want to be close to the action as well as the subway, than Pension Lindner is a fantastic choice.…
We stayed here recently and loved the location. Literally a couple blocks from Marienplatz, which made it very convenient to stop by the hotel in the middle of the day if needed. The place was very clean. Our room was much larger than we were expecting. Ample closet and suitcase storage area. Bathroom (in our room) was nice. Hallway bathroom for those sharing a bathroom was always clean and convenient to the two rooms on our floor who shared the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Fresh soft boiled eggs, frittata, and other breakfast items rotated. Variety of meats, cheeses, broetchen, jams/jellies, pickles, tomatoes, etc. Cereals, yogurt, pastries and sweets, juices, etc. Wonderful start to the day.
This B and B is located in a commercial building, spread over three floors, in a very short pedestrian street, within a few minutes walking distance of a parking garage, major museums, shopping streets and public transportation. Free Wifi. It is just a five-minute walk to Marienplatz. The Bavarian restaurant around the corner on the pedestrian street Sendlingerstrasse is a good choice for moderately priced local food in a charming setting. Our room on the fourth floor faced the street and was very quiet. Breakfast is served in a cozy dining area on the 2nd floor. The buffet breakfast is ample and some of the offerings change from day to day, to provide variety to guests staying more than one night. Breakfast is served at 0730; for those who must depart earlier, which was our situation, you will receive a package of food and juice to take along, which is a nice touch. The bedroom area and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The pillows were too bulky and fluffy for our comfort, which is the only area for improvement in our opinion. We would gladly stay here again.…
We had a three-night stay here in September and chose a room with private ensuite. Lindner is in a great location - close to everything. It's pretty basic accommodation, but was very clean and the breakfast was fine. Good value for the location. If I had one thing to fault the property, it was the pillows. We found them to be probably past their prime and felt like a pillowcase filled with rags.
Great little hidden gem in downtown Munich. Three minute walk to the Marienplatz and 5 to the Market and beer garden. Marion is a good host and listens to her guests. The breakfast is good. Rooms are tidy. Parking is very expensive and you don’t need a car because the location is awesome!
Comfortable room, great location, excellent breakfast, helpful hostess.....what more could one ask for? Our second stay was even better than our first because the construction taking place in 2016 has been completed. The street in front of the pension is now pedestrian only. Thank you, Marion, for providing such a pleasant place to stay.
My husband & I stayed for a week in July of this year. Marion was there to greet us & provided us with a map of Germany. She also offered us a fan for our room during our stay which was so appreciated as Munich was experiencing a heat wave at this time. The breakfast which Marion prepares is great, lots of options each day. The bed & breakfast is located right in Marienplatz & is within a 15 minute walk to the train station. We had a room with a private bathroom which was exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend this bed & breakfast to family & friends!
