We stayed here for a week and found the hotel to be good but not fantastic. The staff were amazing and super helpful but we had some issues with the cleanliness of the rooms. We had two rooms, one for my husband and I and one for our kids (young adults). The kids room had a bag of stinky garbage that had been left in the closet from the last guests and the room service menu had what we think was boogers wiped on it but we really don't know. It was gross whatever it was. The rooms are quite small as well. There isn't much room to spread out. The location is not really near much and required public transportation to get anywhere but there is a bus right outside the door as well as a subway about a 20 minute walk away and a trolley about 10 minutes away and they will get you anywhere in the city. There are very few places to eat around the hotel. The hotel does have a restaurant in it and the food was good but it was very expensive and the menu didn't change much in the week we were there. There is also a smallish mall behind the hotel that has a deli, bakery and grocery store in it so you can buy your own food to prepare if you wish. Things close early in Munich and most places are closed on Sunday so it was very hard to find a place to eat past 7 or 8 o'clock. The buffet breakfast is good but doesn't change at all and its super expensive. We ate there everyday because there wasn't anywhere else to eat breakfast and spent 100 euro a day for the 5 of us and that really added up over a week. Overall its not a bad hotel and I would stay here again mainly because of the staff.…
We visited Munich specifically for the Oktoberfest. The Rilano's location was almost perfect, we had easy access and quick train and tram rides to the city center, as well as a direct train to Oktoberfest grounds. The hotel staff were exceptional, considering how busy they were with the festivities. They were friendly and helpful with all of our queries and questions. We stayed in the Budget Room, and the Bathroom was quite big. Unfortunately, Due to the Oktoberfest and festivities, the hotels were all fairly full, so the hotel was double the price of the usual price. We stayed in a Budget Room, and the room is perhaps a tad small for 2 people and their luggage.
We have spent 3 days in the hotel. It was really nice! When we arrived the receptionist lady was absolutely kind and helpful. But personally I would love to say a huge thank you to Norbert in the bar who has been such a kind and professional all the time. We really enjoyed being guest there he treated us excellently! Probably he is the best barman in Germany! The only one and serious issue was the accommodation staff on the day of departure. They kept bothering us form 8:30 AM until 11:00 to check if we have left (finally). It was pretty unprofessional they should not make us feel that its time to leave... Anyway, at check out we have mentioned that to the receptionist and he tried his best to save the situation what was really professional. If the accommodation department did not ruin our staying I would stay that it's definitely 5*!…
Two good things about this hotel are an attractive room rate and a truly awesome breakfast buffet. Rilano 24/7 is a budget wing of a Rilano Resort and Conference hotel, one of a small chain of eight upscale houses. It is located on Munich´s north-eastern city limit in a green neighbourhood of apartment buildings mixed with business offices. Downtown is some 40 minutes away by bus and U-Bahn. My room was a solid 2-star affair. Any attempt to present it above that level would be, in my opinion, wishful thinking. It was small, Spartan, and had a colour palette with a strong prevalence of dark brown hues. My biggest issue with the room was that it was HOT. There is no AC in the budget wing. I arrived at the end of a brief warm weather streak and the room felt like a hothouse. It remained unpleasantly warm even after outside temperature dropped to around 15 degrees C. Keeping the horizontal slit of a window wide open helped, although tourist buses parked in the street right below were sometimes a bit of a nuisance. At night, however, it was hardly a solution at all. The bed´s headboard was placed right under the window and even when it was only tipped open, my head got, so to speak, in the wind. Speaking of the bed, I generally do prefer firm beds, but in this case the mattress was hard as a wooden board. Pillows were kind of OK despite having some lumpy stuff as filling. The bathroom was equipped with a rather narrow half-tub instead of a shower cubicle. It made showering a bit of a balancing act. An antiquated water screen made of two glass panels wobbled at the hinges, with one of the fittings finally coming completely off. The washbasin drain was clogged when I checked in and could be finally fixed by a hotel plumber after some two days of tinkering. Last but not least, on returning once after a full day´s work I found the door of my room ajar. Surprise… Even next morning the hotel couldn´t offer any specific explanation for this incident beyond a vague hypothesis involving a forgetful cleaner, or may be plumber. Not that I was particularly worried, after all we were in Munich and not in some high-crime area, but all things considering, at check-out the room rate didn´t seem quite like a bargain anymore. The breakfast, on the other hand, passed its daily test with flying colours, it stayed as good as it gets.…
you always remember how you were treated by your surrounding, so firstly don't confuse it with the rilano hotel in the city center, this is 7 km away from the city 24 euro from Munich hbf central station. they have good size rooms with a very easy check in check put policy. in house restaurant staff was good with good service. though menu hs little variety the quantity was enough for 1 person.
We spent 3 nights at this hotel. The room was compact but big enough for 2 people comfortably. The staff were great they helped us with confirming tours and guiding us to where we needed to be. Would recommend as it is close to the Munich Train Station and some great eateries
This is is a great business hotel which was almost faultless. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower was perfect. Only a couple of minor points: The heating control didn't seem that functional, and the room faced the highway and so there was some limited traffic noise. That said, I would highly recommend this hotel.
I stayed there for two nights for a company event and it`s a typical business hotel that uses the location (e.g. proximity to BMW Welt) to make profit instead to look for quality to have satisfied customers. Check-In and Check-Out were ok, quality of the rooms is ok - if you love the typical business hotel rooms, you will feel happy there. Clean, beds were ok - basic but fine. BUT: Staff at the bar not very friendly (arriving in the evening and the FIRST comment was "last round" - ok, I am sorry for ordering...) and prices are insane - I ordered one glass red wine (no special one, I just ordered "red wine") which was priced € 11,-. To me, this is rip-off. Quality of food in the evening was nothing special, breakfast was good, but the breakfast room is small, crowded and loud. Not enough coffee machines so that you always have to line up to get a coffee. Same for the elevators - three are obviously not enough and you have to wait, wait, wait... Overall this was a bad experience and I would definitely not stay there for private reasons and even for business I would look for another place. Everything was somewhere between basic and ok, but they charge crazy prices and this gives a really bad feeling to the customer. Delivering on the lower side but pricing on the higher side - I don`t like.…
Visited the Rilano for three nights, very good and reasonably priced hotel. Excellent service , bar food good and restaurant very good choice. Sky sports on bar TV. Friendly environment , would visit again.
Great atmosphere Stefan and his team looked after us all night , good value bar food as well as sky sports channels. Restaurant reasonable value for money. A great place to meet and discuss business. Bar area clean and beer is good. Ask Stefan for the Bar puzzles.
