I've visited the location several times, but have not stayed in the hotel. The beergarden is delightful and the location of the hotel restaurant may be ideal for one's Münich visit. It's away from the city center, but easy to get to and. And, it's convenient to public transport.
Although I came for business, it was a very pleasant stay - friendly staff and the nice atmosphere of the beer garden next door made it a real highlight of the short term trip. The rooms are a little bit basic and wifi also not very fast, nevertheless, it is in full harmony with the relaxing environment in which the hotel is located.
This cozy little place has been one of my favorite hotels in Munich for 15 years. However I have seen it slipping over the past years.Rooms are getting old.TV verys small, poorly functioning remote control,WIFI very low power not for business people who need to download files. No exercise room,no business center,no access to a printer.Parking awful on weekends when the restaurant is full.Bathroom not 2017 standards, very difficult too use shower handles.Service ranges from good to poor depending time of the day.Do not expect that you find somebody to help you with a heavy suit case and you have an upstairs room (careful elderly).Anyhow I strongly urge the owners to start with a serious upgrade. For the first time in many years I have booked myself not at the Inselmuehle I found a place which offers a lot more for a comparable price.…
Wonderful historic hotel in a park with gardens. River running directly thru the property, very elegant old German style restaurant with quite good pricing relative to the high quality. Beer garden from April on with typical food like roast pork, chicken, fresh fish on wood fire, wurst salat and much more. Accommodations are very nice, large rooms, decks looking over the garden. Buildings from the 1400's.
Enormous room with very good bed. Small TV. Good wifi. Bathroom with a couple broken tiles, but very clean and super water power. Adequate, but not very friendly staff. Breakfast was limited, maybe because the normal restaurant was being renovated. Bit expensive at €157 a night.
