The hotel itself was very good. the room was large for three people, and it was very cosy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, varied and delicious. The location is excellent; two minutes' walk from Hauptbahnof - Munich Central Station, and one stop away from the beautiful Karlsplatz. one downside was the lift,as we had to...

A friend and I stayed for seven nights. Hotel is in a quiet street just outside the station-neighborhood, a 3 minutes walk to the Karlplatz (and 10 to the Marienplatz) The staff is friendly. For example, we arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning and were invited to the breakfast room. Our room was little (4 x 3 meter i...

Even before I arrived I got great service at this place- I had to change my reservation numerous times, but was accommodated every time- without question or complaint. I booked two rooms for two nights- I can only speak for the one that I stayed in, which was on the 3rd floor (really the 4th, as they don't count the...

Hotel Eder is a short walk from the train station and an easy walk to the sights and activities of Munich centre. The rooms and property are well maintained and front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room on the 1st floor was small, but efficient, and clean. Breakfast offered the typical variety of items in a pleasant...

Short walk from the train station even while wheeling suitcases. Walking distance to Marienplatz and shopping area. We stayed with our 11 & 12 year old boys in a good sized room on the fifth floor (just a pity there isn't an elevator!). Room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a great stay...

This hotel is very well located,5 mins work from the train station and the main shopping area and marienplatz. The staff is extremely friendly yet very professional. The room reminded me more of a bed and breakfast than of an hotel.OBviously it was very clean but lacked quite a few of the facilities that one would expect for the price paid.I said...

A group of 7 of shared the two family (4 person) rooms during Oktoberfest. We had a great experience! The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to practically everything and on a side street so not as noisy. We didn't take the ubahn once! The breakfast was famtastic. It seems common for European hotels to include a little...

We loved this place - it was our first stop after landing from Australia and, given we were only in Munich for a short time, it was important for us to be central. Not only is Hotel Eder right in the middle of things, it is so very comfortable (our family of 4 slept very well... teenage kids were extremely...

We stayed at Hotel Eder for 3 nights in early Sept. Our room was on the 2nd floor so lack of lift was not a problem. The room was clean, the breakfast was fine, and the shower was powerful. They did not change the towels one day, but I am sure if we had asked they would have provided clean...

Book here very early if you want to go to Oktoberfest, (we booked about 9 months in advance,) but it is in the best location possible. Two blocks from the train station, 10 minute walk to Oktoberfest grounds and 5 minute walk to center of town. It can't get much better location wise for 179 euros a night DURING Oktoberfest....
