Proximity to the U-bahn and Marienplatz is fantastic. It's a simple hotel with very nice accommodations. The school yard across the street can be a little noisy, and St Anne's church bells are clearly heard but they are not any sort of inconvenience. There are great little restaraunts and kneipen in the area and you really get the feeling of being a local.

Stayed here for our last night in Germany because we wanted to do some last minute shopping. It's less than an easy ten minute walk to the center of Marienplatz where The Rathaus-Glockenspiel is located. The Front Desk provided us with a map and gave easy directions to Marienplatz to do our shopping. Hotel room was clean, comfortable, and nice views of the town from the window. The hotel did not provide any shampoo or conditioner in the room (I knew this and brought my own). Their room keys are large and heavy, so you actually leave it with the Front Desk staff member when leaving (very different than what I am used to) so you don't have to worry about carrying it and therefore losing it. The breakfast they provided was exceptional with a wide variety of options. I would definitely stay here again! The staff we interacted with knew English well and it was an enjoyable stay.

Delightful property, done in the Classic style. Good two-person sized rooms, those on the front have balconies overlooking interesting St-Anna strasse. It’s starting to show signs of aging but that doesn’t detract from its comfort.Good internet and modern showers. Close to everything. U-Bahn 100 metres away, tram and the legendary #100 Munich bus just a little further. English garden and the Haus der Kunst in walking distance. Nights are quiet but a construction site at the back is about 6 months from completion. And, the school in front never seems to have classes and the pupils make an industrial-strength racket during the day. This being Munich, it’ll start to rain soon. That should send them all back inside.

Spent a week at the Domus while I was working in Munich. Very nice family run hotel. Clean rooms very spacious with fridge and desk which was very welcome. All rooms had a fan which was great in the hot weather this summer. Breakfast was basic but very pleasant staff. Receptionist could have been a little more cheerful - not much in the way of please and thank you which was the only downside to the stay. The area around the hotel (Lehel) is very pleasant and quiet and very near to the centre of Munich. Would definitely stay here again.

Very noisy building work starts 7am each morning so impossible to lie in. Not mentioned when booking. Tried to change rooms but would not let us. Wrote an email of complaint but got no response. Try the Derag living Hotel in Munich-good value with some FREE beer in mini bar.

Response from A D, Verkaufsleiter at domus Hotel
Responded 17 Jul 2018
Dear chunkytom, we answered your email two times! Please note that the construction site is NOT on/in our house but on the neighborhood/nearby building. The whole city center of Munich is currently a construction site due to the lack of missing living flats. So it is not our duty to inform guest about noise in the neighborhood or other buildings. Working hours in Germany starts at 7am, that is a common time, so we cannot avoid the beginning working time. Kind regards
