This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully decorated and we were invited to sit and enjoy a coffee in the reception lounge when we arrived. Our room was very large, with a separate sitting space/ desk area in the huge bedroom, together with a well sized bathroom, with large bath and shower, separate toilet and big wardrobe space off the hallway. The contents on the minibar were included in the price and there were several beers on offer, together with wine and soft drinks, which were replenished on a daily basis. We were also given vouchers to enjoy drinks on the roof terrace, which offered superb views over the Munich skyline. Breakfast was terrific - served at the table and including eggs of your choice, cold cuts and cheeses, fruits, great breads, waffles, pancakes, champagne and juices and probably anything else you could think of. The bed was very comfortable, the location ideal, the staff fantastic and the whole experience very memorable.…
We (My wife and I) stayed at MO Munich for 3 days in late April of 2022. Although the surrounding area was undergoing some construction which discounted the oldtown view from certain rooms, MO Munich still made us feel the money was well spent. I have stayed at various MO properties around the world, with my parents when I was little, myself for business trips, and with my wife for vacations. I know what to expect in term of service and quality from MO, but MO Munich is top notch among all other Mo's because it elevates the MO service with German precision. The room is clean and spacious as you would expect from any MO property; amenities are up to date, and the concierge at the hotel went above and beyond in helping me fixing some issues with my rental car as well as handling the car return process for me (Sixt and MO Munich has a partnership). I will not hesitate to book here again for my next trip to Munich.…
My experience at the Mandarin Oriental was enchanting from beginning to end. The staff was super accomodating and friendly. The suite was breathtaking, the best I've ever stayed at. The decoration was so refined, the perfect combination between modernity and vintage design. The breakfast was delicious, with many options for all diets. I was lucky to have a beautiful weather and enjoyed the rooftop with a 360° view on the city. Thank you MO Munich for this unforgettable experience.
This hotel is simply fantastic, from the newly renovated rooms to service to food. Rooms are spacious, elegant and cosy. All switches and buttons in the room are so smartly designed that they are very intuitive and easy to maneuver. Every hotel staff we’ve met was super friendly and professional. Dario and his team at the concierge are such pleasant and joyful gentlemen. Talking with them feels like meeting old friends. I truly appreciate their knowledge and kindness. Venessa from dining service is a very delightful, worldly and wise young lady. I totally enjoyed our conversation. Matsuhisa is as splendid as always. The lobster-truffle hobayaki, wagyu Robata and wagyu taco are heavenly in taste, texture and presentation. I was a bit disappointed that the wonderful Mandarin Spa is not here at the Munich hotel. However, Natalia at “Amour Fou” on hotel’s ground floor gave fantastic Swedish massage and Hawaiian facial which I completely enjoyed. This weekend staycation has exceeded my expectation. MO Munich a wonderful oasis for a perfect escape, when the outside world has, rather unfortunately, a kindness, respect and warmth deficit. Highly recommend!…
We have a very nice experience at this hotel. The two bedroom cupola suite was redesigned and very beautiful; they gave us our requested top floor room with skylights. The concierge, Dario, was helpful in preparing our itinerary well in advance of the trip, though not as responsive or organized as The Ritz in Paris. The lobby is small and a little underwhelming. The food is just OK; waiters in tea lounge can be a bit snooty. Great location but the boarded up plaza in front of the hotel which I understand is an abandoned construction project of the hotel’s needs to be rectified. Make it a park or a proper square but currently it creates a strange claustrophobic perspective when you leave the hotel. We would stay here again if in Munich, unless there’s a new 5 star alternative (Rosewood?).…
