I stayed for two nights at the Amiga and the first surprise came at my arrival. I arrived approx. at 7 p.a. and the door was closed. The reception closes at 5 p.m. So I had to call a phone number and a nice lady gave me a code for a safe where my key was deposited. Inside I had to find the light switches (hint for the owner: install motion detectors). That's not really what I would expect from a hotel, but okay my room was quite large, everything was clean, wifi was fast. At the next morning the reception was open and the lady was again very nice. In principle, I would recommend the hotel, but I'm not sure, whether it is worth the price I paid during the Expo Real (EUR 130 for the first and EUR 260 (!) for the second night).
Run by a sweet family, mother and daughter. Friend of ours booked us there. Hotel seems newly renovated, fresh colors and very cleaned. Rooms are small and those more inside the building are quieter. Breakfast buffet was sufficient and included everything needed. Fresh coffee, breads and Pastries. No soft boiled egg ( as per German law :-( ). Parking is public opposite the hotel. If in the area again, definitely stay there again.
Hotel Amiga is a nice, little hotel situated in a quiet area of Munchen. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided daily by a very friendly lady. Plenty of food at breakfast time. Wi-fi worked very well in the rooms - and it is for free. Special thanks to the girl in reception who helped us with everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend some days in Munchen - either for business trips or simply leisure.
After finding out that Ambient Colina hotel had canceled our reservation with no courtesy of a phone call (which we had booked months in advance), we went on a hasty search for a place to sleep during Oktoberfest. Thankfully, Hotel Amiga had room for us. We found the staff very helpful, the breakfast (included) was delicious, and we appreciated the secure underground parking. Getting to Oktoberfest was a bit of a challenge however as we had to take a bus and two trains to get there, so location is not great. Also, there are no shops or restaurants nearby; it is a residential neighbourhood. Though probably due to the fact that we were last minute, we were given room 1 which is located in the basement directly under the dining room. Though we found the cramped room to our liking (it was clean and stylish), it was VERY noisy during breakfast hours (7 or 8 to 10 AM). We heard lots of chair scraping and children screaming... Thankfully, I always travel with ear plugs so it wasn't really an issue for me.…
