We chose this hotel for its location and were not disappointed. It is bang opposite the Viktualienmarkt and most of the sights are within walking distance. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
March, 2022 -- Stayed for about 3 days to get over jet lag from Denver, the Living Hotel is in an excellent location although parking is not very good if coming during a busy time of day. You do get to park RIGHT OUT FRONT to get bags out and the concierge there was excellent is helping us with luggage and bringing it up to our room. After driving away to find parking at 3pm on a Friday, I ended up parking at the Marienplatz garage (about a 10 min walk) and later that night moved to the Schrannenhalle garage. If you park here, its only 16 euro a night with validation from the hotel, so left the car there for 2 nights and mostly used the excellent public transportation to get around town. The rooms are super modern and while some may not like it, you actually turn on and off all the lights from a panel near the front door. Its sort of "too futursitic" but kind of cool. Best part of staying here that you don't always see in boutique hotels in Germany, our room had a MASSIVE bathtub in it. I'm 5'10" and could lay all the way down and my feet didn't hit the other end. Warning if taking a shower: the temp handle goes from lava hot to antarctic cold with roughly 0.2mm of wiggle room to find "nice and warm". Oh! And to get the shower to come on, press in the button by the temp handle, THEN pull the temp handle out and the shower will stay on. But you'll figure it out. Breakfast is roughly 15 euro a day if you didn't already add it and the wet bar where they make your cappuccino's and latte machiattos is excellent. The Maitre D of the little restaurant is amazing at his job and always helpful for whatever you'd need. Slight cons: Its a huge city with city noises, so at night the street right below, the Blumenstrasse, can get a bit of police and ambulance activity, so fair warning. But it did not bother me at all, I'm used to staying at busy downtown hotels and this is a great one.…
Fantastic hotel, brilliant location.fabulous room everything we expected and more. Friendly and obliging staff, especially Mohammed who went out of his way ,to make our stay a very enjoyable one. Highly recommend this lovely hotel if you want everything on your door stop
Overall our stay was okay but that is mainly attributed to the great location. However, for the price paid, there are many negative aspects. The staff was unfriendly (some exceptions), the light in the room went on and off randomly, the air conditioner did not work well, the bathroom exhaust was noisy, the water in the shower was often only cold, the WiFi (apparently high-speed) did not work at all often, the staff walked into the room even though it was mentioned that it should not be disturbed (I had a meeting), and on top of all, the staff only reluctantly offered new toilet paper (they mentioned that they would make an exception as it was Sunday). For such a pricey hotel I would expect different standards. If you can find an alternative, I would recommend booking at another hotel nearby. …
The location of this hotel is PERFECT if you’re looking to indulge in the traditional Munich experience! We arrived early and the crew happily stored our bags. Upon return to check in, we were informed we were upgraded for free! Our room was absolutely beautiful. Clean room with no complaints! The next day, we had a late flight so the hotel held our luggage again with no issues. We had a drink at the hotel bar and service was great there as well. The only weird thing was the duvet on our bed appeared to be mended with bandages... I called hospitality and they seemed to be very embarrassed and unsure of why or how that happened. He gave me a new duvet within 10 minutes of my call. Overall, the shining star of this hotel is the service. They even remembered my name upon picking up my bags. Will definitely stay here again if my travels take me back to Munich!…
