Great hotel, we stayed here on a recent trip to Munich. A nice area with some great restaurants nearby. Away from the hustle and bustle but close to the trams and underground. Would strongly recommend. The executive lounge is very good and the evening serving of food was excellent.

We stayed as part of a tour group. We really liked the hotel, except for it's location. For us, it was not walkable to central Munich. We took taxi's each way for touring. But everything else from the staff to the breakfast buffet to our room size and features was excellent. I will say it is in a quiet location. It seems like a hotel aimed at business travelers and conference. We enjoyed the pool late one afternoon and our group dinner in their restaurant was excellent.

When checking in, we requested that a bucket of ice be sent to the room. Two hours later, it had not arrived. We tried calling the concierge, but the phone rang & rang & rang, but there was no answer. By this time, we also had determined that the a/c was not working properly, so I went back down to the concierge desk to request ice, & to request that maintenance check out the a/c. This time the ice arrived immediately, & maintenance was not far behind. The maintenance technician was very polite, & determined that it might take hours to do the repair,so we were moved to a different room. When it was time to check out, it had been arranged that someone collect our luggage at 10:15 am for a 10:30 pick up to go to the airport. By 10:25, the luggage had not been collected, so we went down to the concierge to see what was going on. He made a call, & the bags were brought down within 15 minutes, but by now we were late for our transport to the airport. The room was comfortable, but the shower was about the size of a phone booth. I guess I just expected more from Westin.

This is essentially a conference hotel in the suburbs but if you’re travelling independently you can do far better elsewhere. The hotel is soulless and rooms have the bare minimum of facilities with paper cups and a few sachets for tea and coffee. Pleasant reception staff but unnecessarily lengthy check in processes and many unhappy customers from what I could overhear as I queued.

All in all the stay here was very enjoyable. The room was beautiful , the Paulanner bar was really fantastic and the gym/swim /Spa facilities were very good. However, Certain aspects of this hotel are definitely 4 star and not 5. Check in was messy, upon arrival, I asked to pay for an upgrade and was advised I may get a free upgrade but then got neither. No information about the hotel was given to me upon arrival for example gym, pool and restaurant times, and as far as the premises is concerned the baths were about half of the size you would expect.

Located about equi-distance from city-centre and the convention center/Messe Exposition. Not near the U/underground train, however it is still walking distance from the hotel—about 2’ish blocks OR approx a 25 euro to Messe and 20 euro taxi ride vs the U which is approx 4 euro for a one-way or approx 9 euro for an all day ride pass. PROS: quiet, comfortable, safe area with just enough shops, cafes and places to eat with enough transport access to get to where you need to be… Rooms are typical European = smaller than the American version. If on business, I recommend getting the package that includes breakfast. Bathrooms are well lit, comfortable beds and amenities are well appointed. Staff is friendly, however not always efficient—especially housekeeping. CONS: bit pricer than the Sheraton across the street or the hotels in city centre. Haha, as an American, the bathroom paper products take a bit of getting used to—it’s as rough/hard as copier paper! Also, need to get used to the working the lights—need your keycard to activate.

Aside from the ridged Covid protocols, a great hotel with exceptional staff. As a Titanium member we were granted access to the club lounge - marvelous array of beverages and snacks. The woman who staffed the club (sadly I can't recall her name but was from Romania) was incredible. The front desk staff were vey helpful in resolving a booking problem. A wide variety of offerings at the breakfast buffet! A superb stay!

I will say staff is very welcoming and very helpful. I was given information on where the best places to dine and relax in the amazing atmosphere. I do and highly recommend this hotel and Germany as a much needed stay. Breakfast was amazing, open buffet and they took pride in cleanliness and cooking. Everything is made fresh and staff is very exceptional and prompt. They do have a fitness center which goes to 25kilograms for dumbbells. Treadmills, bikes, a cable rack and much more. It will definitely accommodate those who love and enjoy fitness.

The staff here are all helpful and the location to the trams and shops is super convenient. Eating lunch and having beer downstairs was fantastic and our server was the best and gave us some great tips of places that locals frequent. The hotel itself is huge with a lot of amenities, food and drink options, nice pool, etc. The rooms however, eeesh. We had a renovated room and there is this horrible piece of woodwork that is supposed to be a fancy headboard, it makes it darn near impossible and painful to sit up and read your book before bed as it cuts into your neck and shoulders. The Westin always advertises the 'heavenly bed'...this bed was lumpy, slanted and we both woke up with severe lower back pain.

Be warned this is an old hotel and the rooms look it. Our suite was no such thing it was two adjoined rooms! That's not a suite! The service in the breakfast restaurant and club lounge was fantastic, what a great team of people in both. Mario was especially great to us in both places. The gym is big and 24/7 too but bizarrely the changing rooms are closed and there are no towels which is an obvious thing in a gym. Very near the massive supermarket and train station too.
