The hotel is wonderful. It’s location is absolutely perfect. The staff is very helpful. The restaurant food is good and the rooftop views are excellent. I would also note that the bedding was wonderful. No better spot to enjoy Munich than this grand hotel.
The aircon made a lot of noice and only heated up the room. I tapped out at 28c. Very expensive for those worn down rooms. …the mineral water in the room was 11.5€ Quite ok breakfast, but nothing special. Long line at check-out. Good service, but you expect that at those prices.
It is not possible for a 5 star hotel to not have a working wifi network. You should inform your costumers that you can not give that service! I am a business man I need wifi,without that I can not stay in any hotel. So please tell the people that you dont have that under control for whatever reason so that we can book any hotel which gives this service. Even a holiday inn in 2022 has a good running wifi!!! Offcourse you tell your costumers all the time that it works perfectly but..I stayed in this hotel for 15 times and it never worked..
Easily one the best hotels in Europe, definitely the best in Munich. Primo service, no one skips a beat here. Incredible decor, rooms are fabulous. It has a good vintage feel as if you're in another time (but doesn't feel old). You never need to leave the hotel, so many bar and food options. Modernist Bavarian dining, rooftop igloo to Trader Vic's ambiance. The private movie theater was a really nice touch, supercomfy. Breakfast was the best I've had in Europe. Service was truly top notch. Perfect location for the city. The pool area was luxurious. We were upgraded to a suite, that had lots of storage, heated marble floors in the bathroom. Very quiet and well appointed. Bravo, job well done.
We did not spend a night in this “hotel” we almost ate there (Garden Restaurant) and we spent 3 hours in the hotel lobby. Our experience then and in the following 3 days (to date) was more than enough to form the impression that it is a hotel with rude, unhelpful, unprofessional staff who apparently have no interest in helping guests! Three days ago I sent an email requesting an explanation of the rude, indifferent and unprofessional reactions of 3 members of the hotel staff. Until now, despite the promises of yet another person “working” at this place, who made a promise this afternoon to send an email as soon as possible..In brief my experience would suggest not to stay here!
