The rooms looked cool upon first entry with separate bedroom and bathroom areas connected by an entry hall in the middle. It was designed for the initial wow factor so I was impressed at first. However upon closer look this hotel was clearly over-designed and not in a great way in my opinion. Too much effort to figure out how to turn on/off lights and close shades with multiple black buttons on black surfaces to decipher. I really don't want to accidentally turn on the wrong light while my partner is sleeping. The shower was satisfying and the bed was very comfortable, but it was tricky to get to the window behind the bed to open it as it was too warm in the room during the month of December. Other reviews mention how the walls are black and the halls incredibly dark and disorienting. I agree but for me it was the framed photos of a woman smoking (the same photos repeated over again in the room and hallways) that was completely off-putting. Seriously?! They want to glamorize smoking? I really don't want to see photos of smokers in my room while I'm working or relaxing so I can't believe they made this disgusting design decision (see my uploaded photo collage). The lobby bar looked cozy but it was closed on the day we checked-in (no idea why) and it closed at 10pm the second night. So our Bonvoy status offer of a free drink didn't happen. On the positive side the mini bar had a fun selection, the location was fine - next to a convenient tram line and close to Augustiner Brau and the airport train. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also they allow pets which makes me wonder how thoroughly they clean the shag carpet next to the bed. So overall a mixed experience but those smoker photos have to go.…
Clean, very nice environment, high design, nice toiletries, decent location, the balcony and bathtub were treats. I had an issue with a neighbor playing loud music and it was addressed immediately. My only complaint is that I had ordered ice with my room service meal, it didn't come with the meal, I asked the server to bring some when she came with the food, and she never did. I ordered it twice through the app as well. I also had tipped her 20% on the food but she never returned with the ice. Really disappointing, especially when you splurge on room service.
After reading a few of the reviews I was a bit worried as to what to expect but I loved the hotel, loved the decor, the staff were so helpful and couldn’t have done enough for us. Rooms were amazing, well designed and all the mod cons. Very clean and great power shower. Only a 20 minute walk into the main centre or you can hop on the tram which stops out the front of the hotel or even rent an electric stand on scooter. Would definitely stay here again if in Munich so I’m very happy to recommend to others.
I had a pleasant stay at the roomers Munich. They definitely have a different take an luxury hospitality but certainly not in a bad way. The interior is classy and stylish. The service was on point and employees always willing to help. My room was big enough and we'll equipped. The hotel is not in the city center but I knew that before. There is public transport nearby or you can talk a long walk to reach the city center. All in all a recommendable experience!
We have to traveled to more than 84 countries the past 2 years. We had every experience you could think of. From disgusting to the only 7 Star Hotel in the world - literally everything. The roomers in Munich is not really comparable to a 5 star beach resort as this hotel follows a complete different vibe. This hotel is the definition of style, luxury, details, spirit to serve & a very unique experience makes you want to come back. We stayed here 4 times already and every time we have an incredible experience. The rooms, the SPA, izakaya restaurant and also the simple library at the bar is just amazing. Staff is 10/10. Already after our second visit we got recognized and greated with our names. Arrived in our room we found a cake with a picture from my fiancé and me where we got featured in a national newspaper in Germany. Thats what I call hospitality. I worked for Marriott for 5 years and now I know why I love this brand so much because of the caring staff making your trip a "home away from home". If you are seeking for a city trip, short stay over or a city escape this is the place to be in Munich. Valet parking, wellness & Spa, Gym, Asian inspired cuisine and a luxury concept is all you need to create an unforgettable experience. Thank you to the entire roomers family, we will be back and would always recommend staying here. All the best from Dubai and see you soon!…
