This hotel was very clean and staff are super friendly. Rooms are functional and not much to write home about but having said that it was still a pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious and the location is nice and quiet.

Nice quiet hotel located in Partenkirchen, with nice hosts and excellent staff. Varied breakfast. Was provided with free bus access card. Good internet connection. Ask for a room with a view. I was there during the the ski world-cup event: Kandahar. A fantastic arrangement with skiers from the world elite.

We stayed here only one night, which is a shame. This is a very well kept family owned lodge with friendly staff. The underground parking is a definite plus. The view from the balcony of the ski jump is amazing at night, and many good restaurants are within walking distance. But you don't need to go out as the Hotel...

Although I did so much research prior to our trip, I am still so tickled about the location of this hotel! Partinkirchen is the older town of the two, and this hotel is located perfectly to have its own little old town to explore, while still being walking distance to Garmisch. The hotel staff is friendly and did a load...

I'm just back from my 5th stay at this fantastic hotel. I can never fault it and I'm always sad to leave it. As I say nothing can be faulted with breakfast and dinner being excellent particularly their homemade jams! Rooms are extremely comfortable with it being worth it to upgrade to a south facing room to enjoy stunning views...

I have been to the Schatten many times and never have I been disappointed. The food is always superb, as it was in May 2016 when I went there for a steak dinner. The steak was tender and delicious. I sat outside in the Bier Garden and service was prompt and very good. The hotel itself is so lovely with...

This was my favorite out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip to Germany (and we stayed in a lot of wonderful places!). Our room had a balcony with an incredibly gorgeous view of the alps. It was so lovely to sit there, watch the sun setting, hear the church bells and accordian music from somewhere nearby....

Situated in the charming old town of Partenkirchen, this is the best hotel in town. Clean, modern facilities, wide selection of Baverian food and it is situated in a very quiet area. Use the lifts to get up to the mountain tops (Alpspitz, Wank, Eckbaurer) and enjoy the many wandering possibilities.

good location, very small, but clean rooms. easy access to town, stores and restaurants would recommend this hotel for couples loved the cows going to pasture right outside the bedroom windows in the morning with their cow bells

Stayed there for two nights in a absolutely great family room that offered a breathtaking view of parts of Partenkirchen and the mountains in the background. In the morning cowbells, birds and the church bell added to the rustic atmosphere. Service in the restaurant and at the reception was warm and welcoming. Breakfast offerings where more than satisfying. Dinner could...
