Staff - Everyone I came across was great. Profession, kind, and extremely helpful.

Area - Perfect right next to the river and the bridge. Right outside...More

Awesome location. Wifi is terrible. No elevator. Kind staff. Clean room. Recommended for short visit to see downtown. Near the river.
Prices are nice.
I would give it 7 out of 10 as a general rating.
No iron. There is a tv. Nice shower.

Having spent many years in Germany, I seriously doubt that there are many places open over the period 24-26 Dec. I believe the small, family owned type hotels will be open with a reduced staff, the large corporate hotels will be open as usual. I would bet that 90% of the restaurants will be closed, and none of the tourist attractions (boat rides, castle visits etc.) will be open. As an aside, I wanted to spend Christmas in Rome, Italy one year, however when I read the reviews and learned that everything is closed, I cancelled my plans. I fear that you might face the same circumstances - you will have a hotel room, but everything else in the city and surrounding area (Mannheim, Speyer etc.) will be closed.
