26 friends and I stayed at the Gelinotte for a week and had a great time. The hotel is simple and provides exactly what you need and want whilst you're here. The food is excellent, choosing the night before from a range of options means you get something you like. Great pool and sauna / steamroom help you wind down...

We were worried by the awful TA reviews, but the lodge is quite nice and well-equipped and the food was perfectly fine (the lodge implemented changes in late Feb in response to all the negative reviews), although there's definitely room for improvement. We were a group of 6 and booked a 7-day package (including flights and transfers) through Alpine Elements....

Stayed at the Gelinotte for a week from 5th March -12th with Alpine Elements. Firstly I wouldn't book with AN again due to major issues with the UK booking call centre. Anyway, the hotel is up a bit of a slope from the road so make sure your cardio is up to scratch if you do stay! Furthermore if you're...

We visited this hotel 4yrs ago and were really impressed. Then we went back in January & the the food was terrible, either poisoned with salt or flavourless. How hard is it to serve warm soup I ask you. The staff were really nice and apologised repeatedly except the deputy manager who definitely doesn't belong in customer services.. The accommodation...

This hotel was run by alpine elements on a standard UK type chalet hotel style - breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, apart from not having wine included at dinner (shame!). The team of staff is brilliant, lead by an excellent new manager - they are all very helpful & professional, the standard of food is good overall . The chalet is...

Have to say we were really concerned to read some of the recent TA reviews about the Gelinotte; having booked our ski holiday a year in advance, something seemed to have gone wrong - the reviews were really poor. We were experiencing both Val d'isere and the hospitality of Alpine Elements for the first time. Our party was my husband,...

Amazing holiday! Staff were young, friendly and made us feel so welcome. The assistant manager Amy was so helpful as was James Bar Manager and the rest of the staff. I lost my ski lift pass and the staff went so out of their way to help me sort it, thanks Viv x , Felt so relaxed and nice little...

The Gelinotte is like a hobbit hotel. It's full of character but is a little shabby in the bedrooms. I paid for a slightly bigger room and I'm glad I did as the 'regular' room was very small and felt claustrophobic. The bar and dining area were neat and the food was more than adequate. The swimming pool and sauna...

What can I say I have just returned from the Hotel Gelinotte after spending a week with 5 Friends I have been skiing for over 25 years and this is the second worse room l have ever stayed in. I under stand space is a premium in France, but when you have no doors on your wardrobe, good thing really...
