Stayed here three times over last 4 years. It's operated in winter by the British ski holidays operator - Mark Warner - (and some say they own it) and to be fair they do warn you in their brochure and website about the noise from the pub/bar on the ground floor below and imply it is not the most luxurious.... We stayed for a week at the end of March and had a great time. The atmosphere was excellent and more than made up for the somewhat dated furnishings in parts of the hotel. The room was of a good size and was fairly quiet considering the hotel's location above the pub. The bathroom was very basic and could do... More

Let me begin with mentioning that if you are young (20s - 40s), easy-going, unfussy but price conscious - this is the hotel for you! However, if you are looking for a luxury 4 - 5* hotel with all the amenities, please stop reading and look elsewhere, as this is not for you. We arrived to Chambery airport very confused... More

The staff are lovely and super helpful!! The food is great, always a variety and if you have any special requests or allergies they will happily cater for this. The free wine at dinner is a bonus! Yes the hotel chalet is a bit basic and maybe could do with a lick of paint etc but the atmosphere makes up... More

Arrived on Sunday morning, tired and confused to be whisked up to the mountains by the friendly staff at hotel Moris, lovely evening introduction drinks on the first night, got to meet the staff and the other hotel guests. Great location, walking distance to the piste, the shops, restaurants etc the bus from la daille and from the gondaler further... More

As much as they try this hotel will never live up to the standard that you'd expect from Mark Warner. The interior is in desperate need of a good old fashioned lick of paint. And new carpets. And new bathroom fittings. To be honest it's clean (most of the time) but the lack of en suites, grubby worn carpets and... More

Ok so I get the fact that it's all about the skiing. I also get the fact that it is both necessary and desirable to have low budget places to stay. What is such a shame about this place is that with some inexpensive overhaul it would be ideal for anyone other than families who want a low budget base.... More

Ummm..yes, actually I would but only early in the season. Booked last minute with friends and was somewhat concerned but the reviews on here after booking. It was apparent on arrival on the bus that a lot of people already knew each other. They meet up here year after year, they're not young (many are in their 60s and 70s!)... More

We booked the Chalet Hotel Moris even though most of the reviews were bad as it was the same sort of reviews for the Chalet Hotel Valdisere had received but after we arrived I was pleasantly surprised (please see my review) and gave the hotel and Mark Warner a fair review. However, I can not provide the same with regards... More

Mark Warner should be ashamed! Have stayed here twice in recent years - other guests much longer and all confirm nothing has changed. The carpets are disgusting and desperately need replacing - also give the inside and outside a lick of paint for goodness sake - a few thousand pounds investment on a simple tart up would make a difference....
