We had a lovely stay in this family run hotel on Lake Annecy. Lovely, friendly service, good food, lovely pool. Away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of lake Annecy but close to the lake and transport. Very peaceful. Really good for couples and families alike.
This is my second visit in three years to this hotel. It was great the first time and even better now on our second visit. It’s a great size hotel, not too big, excellent service and owner/management always on site. The food is superb and better than any 5* hotel I’ve stayed at. Perfect for families or couples. Highly recommended.
We have spent a fantastic week here at Les Grillons. It’s a perfect location next to Lake Annecy. From the moment we arrived we have all been made to feel so welcome. The facilities, rooms, lounge and swimming pool are perfect for our family group of 12. The food has been a culinary delight. We couldn’t choose our favourite meal as each night we were treated to the most delicious menu. The children could choose alternative options. The location is perfect for all the water sports, cycling and paragliding activities. Thank you to all the team at the hotel we hope to visit again in the future.
We spent three nights in this hotel and it is my new favorite in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room is well equipped with separate toilet room and small fridge, the view of mountains and pool is lovely. But the real star is the kitchen. We were on half board and the dinners were exceptional. We enjoyed steak with bernaise sauce, trout tartare, roast veal with the best tomato salad, and chicken breast with super potatoes. We also had cheese courses highlighting two local cheese and wonderful desserts. My particular favorite was a blueberry lemon tart with creme anglaise. Honestly I would just stay here for the food. This is our third trip to this area and I would not stay anywhere else.
A wonderful time was had in a superb hotel in a fabulous location. Everything was perfect, from our room with a breathtaking view of the lake, to the amazing 5* food. The food was so good it should have an award. The variation over the week was superb with Sebastian an accomplished head chef All staff were courteous, friendly and nothing too much trouble from printing out bus timetables, looking for car hire and even ringing local tourist spots to find the best way to get there. Many thanks to a hardworking family and team of staff always with a friendly smile. You won’t regret staying at Les Grillons...we will certainly be back
A delightful, family run hotel with a calm and welcoming ambiance. We stayed six nights on half board, and enjoyed the anticipation of dinner as the menu for the day is displayed at breakfast, allowing guests to request an alternative if the menu on offer is not to your taste. The food was excellent, the kitchen being led by Sebastian, the owner. We used the public service bus, which stops just outside the hotel, to explore Annecy (45mins), and some of the villages en route. Enjoyed swimming in the lake just opposite the hotel as well as the hotel pool. All staff were extremely conscientious and kind.
Our first time in this area and what a find! Family run and wow does it show, food very good, service couldn’t have been better and the location is just to die for. ice creams offered at the pool in the afternoon, amazing wine list at very resonable prices. The rooms are large and are so nice with their air conditioning
First time to this area and absolutely loved it. Hotel was just fabulous… staff first class and food out of this world. Was very hot when we were there so next time we would make sure we had a room with air conditioning. We didn’t have a car when we were staying but plenty of places to enjoy on foot… wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
We were given a warm welcome by Aurelie on arrival and shown around the hotel. We could see immediately that she is very proud of the establishment and works extremely hard to maintain this, constantly checking all areas to make sure they meet her high standards. Our room, on the second floor, was newly decorated and overlooked the lawned area and the lake in the distance. It was spotlessly clean, had a comfortable massive bed, plenty of storage space, wc separate to the bathroom and newly fitted air con if required. The only thing lacking was a kettle and tea/ coffee making items. We were half board so had the 4 course fixed menu every evening. This was too a very high standard (prepared by Sebastian the owner) and offered a wide choice of dishes. All of these were superbly cooked but you had the option to change dishes if there was something not to your taste prior to the meal. A menu for the day is displayed at breakfast time to allow for changes but we never found this necessary. Breakfast was a continental buffet style again offering plenty of choice - croissants, granola, fresh fruit salad, cold meats and cheeses, soft boiled eggs and cake. The young waitresses had obviously been well trained by Aurelie and tried to explain what each course was in English ( a nice touch as we are not very fluent in French!) The bar also offered a good choice of drinks and cocktails which were served by the excellent barmen either inside or outside in the garden, patio area or pool surround. Again the staff were so hard working and polite and gave you the feeling that they really enjoyed their jobs. The gardens were well maintained along with the swimming pool area. This is not heated but we found it comfortable to swim in once you had got over the initial shock of getting in! We have stayed at many hotels but have to say that this is one of the best overall and should be at least a 4* in our opinion and would highly recommend it.…
We recently stayed here for five nights in room 11 on the first floor. A good sized room with balcony - everything very clean. Shower was over the bath but quite easy to step in and out. There was a separate toilet and plenty of wardrobe/ storage space. A good breakfast selection - I loved the coffee and the set evening meals were delicious, good quality and well cooked. Without fail, every member of staff was friendly and helpful - our waitress Claire added to the enjoyment of our dinner each evening as she practised her English and I confused her with my French! The bus into Annecy stops a few minutes from the hotel - easier than driving into the town we found. We had the very best stay and will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises - this is a very well run hotel with great staff. Thank you.…
