We spent 4 nights at the Abbaye for a wedding and it was wonderful! The hotel is beautiful, the views are AMAZING and the staff were lovely throughout - definitely get a room over looking the lake. The food at the hotel was excellent and there's a lovely little Jacuzzi up on the top floor. I would stay here again...

Dear guest, staying in Abbaye for a wedding is a double joy! Thank you very much for all of your compliments : we are very much concerned to make everything even better - if possible - for the wedding knowing how important the occasion is. But Abbaye is always worth a visit and we sincerly hope to be able to...

The place is so beautiful and quite. Total relaxation here. The hotel is old , if you appreciate, and beautiful. What it comes with old is you can hear next door's alarms, the other person open the door you though your door is been opened. If you want to have fights with your honey you need to second thought of...

Dear client, thank you for your appreciated observations! Yes, you definetely need to love the old - we will be celebrating 1000 years of existence next year! - if you come to Abbaye. And the beautiful! That also means that it can - it does not always - happend that you hear your neighbourg as all the ceilings are made...

Wow, perfect lakeside setting with Lido sunbeds to take in the stunning views. A very comprehensive wine cellar with wonderfully informative Sommellier. Full five star service right from the front gate through the dining room to the very luxurious bedrooms. We attended a wedding in Sept, held in the gardens , what a most incredible setting with the backdrop of...

My daughter had her wedding reception in this historical, beautiful Abbaye. This was a few years ago and yet the love of the amazing families, elegant, delicious, meals, as well as outstanding atmosphere and beautiful clear-water Lake Anncey and inspiring Alpine mountains provides frequent, joyous memories to all 25 family and friends who attended from the U.S.A. We and our...

Hello, we are extremely touched by your remarks - not only we are very connected to the wedding couple throughtout the intense preparation time, sometimes over the whole year, but they also become really a part of the Abbaye family and we often have the chance to follow them long after their wedding: observe their children growing and take part...

Great location near the lake. Staff members were pleasant. Was not aware that the restaurant was closed on a Monday. (I did not read the small print on booking.com). We did not try the breakfast so can not comment. Not sure that this hotel is value for money.

The hotel is situated in an idyllic location on Lake Annecy. Upon arrival at the hotel we were warmly greeted by Melanie. Melanie was genuinely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Lauren the person at the reception desk in the mornings was very helpful and welcoming. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and professional. Special recognition to Melanie,...

We were attending a wedding and stayed for four days. From the time we checked in to our departure I found all the staff to be professional and warm providing excellent customer service. Our room was all that one would expect from a hotel of this standard, king size bed, turn down service, and to boot when you stepped out...

You may pay a little more than the average stopover to stay at this wonderful hotel, set in a little bay with turquoise blue waters and its own sunbathing deck, but it is worth it! This renovated former abbey dates from the 17th century and oozes period charm and character. We had a room looking over the bay which gave...

The building, particularly inside, is really lovely, somehow managing to combine modern facilities and historic features, perfectly. Service was impeccable, professional and friendly, without exception. The position, overlooking the lake, and the lovely grounds, where dinner was served most evenings, help make this a very special place. Our room was comfortably big enough for us and contained a king size...

After four excellent days at the Ombremont Hotel (4* rating and 2 Michelin*) in Le Bourget du Lac we had booked a further four days holidays at L'Abbaye de Talloires. What a culture shock! Talloires, the most beautiful place on Lake Annecy is the home to the Abbaye de Talloires, one of the most extraordinary hotels in Annecy. It has everything: centuries of history, a long list of celebrities who have stayed there such as Mark Twain, Paul Cezanne and Jean Reno amongst many others. Fine dining is assured with the Aux Jardins des Delices gourmet restaurant and the light cuisine with the La Table de Cezanne brasserie-restaurant at lunchtime during summer. The historical wine cellar is filled with hidden treasures. Rooms and suites, each one different from the other are offering breathtaking views. The cosy and welcoming Spa; the vaulted bar for romantic evenings; the pontoon equipped with beach beds to escape the world, a wide choice of cultural and sporting activities and so many more. But, above all, it's the people who work here that make this hotel such a special place to stay, the Abbaye de Talloires is the only hotel in France to win twice ( 2009 and 2013 ) 4* et 5* Hotel Customers Trophy Award for its quality of service! ! ... more   less
