We stayed here on our way down to Provence and found it more than adequate for an overnight stay. Yes, it is a modern 'no frills' establishment but easy to find on the road into Perouges with a large free carpark. The old town of Perouges (well worth visiting) is about a twenty minute walk away up the hill. Our room was small and basic but had air conditioning, a good shower, coffee making facilities and bedside lights. Rooms at the front (as ours was) have a good view of the old town. If you don't fancy the walk up to old Perouges, the restaurant( Le Menestrel) on site but under different management from the hotel served really good food. Don't be put off by the exterior. Inside is cosy and popular with locals. Our breakfast at the hotel the following morning was self service but plentiful with croissants, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc..all on offer. All the staff were extremely cheerful and efficient. What the hotel lacks in character it more than makes up for in other ways. Recommended!

We arrived early and they found a way to let us in to our rooms. The pool is magnificent. The staff are so kind and spoke very good english. the helped us find places to eat and were so nice. The breakfast was the best we had in France. I give this place the highest recommendation.

This is not a fancy place but very conveniently located close to the medieval city of PEroujes without the hassle of parking. the rooms are bare bones but fine. Add to that a very friendly helpful staff, a small pool (well fenced) and a decent breakfast and you cannot really ask for more for their price.

We, 2 couples, were let down by our B&B so had nowhere to go for the night. We were on our way home from Italy. We asked someone in the local town who recommended this hotel. The lady at reception was very welcoming and friendly, and luckily they had 2 rooms left at very reasonable prices. The rooms were very clean and had everything you need, bedside tables, bath & shower, desk, wardrobe, hot water etc. Perfect for a night en route and there was a restaurant next door, good, inexpensive meal, owner with a great sense of humour. There was a swimming pool for a summer stay, but it was closed, understandably, for winter. This is a good hotel for an overnight stop or a business meeting but maybe lacking in character for a long stay.

Room OK but a bit basic. Greeting by staff a bit lacking. Breakfast OK. This is quite a big hotel which is well placed for visiting Pérouges. They are best described by the phrase 'could try harder !'

The small room was clean, and the price was certainly fair for what we got. At first I thought our small room was the result of being the last room available, but looking at the emergency evacuation chart, it seems the other rooms are also small, at least on the second floor (no elevator). Breakfast was adequate, but I think we should have opted to eat someplace within Pérouges itself, which is about 1.5 km away. Wifi connection in the room was not too good, but it was fine in the lobby.

Whilst reserving our room over the telephone the 1st thing that struck me was how friendly they were, nothing was too much trouble. A camping bed in the room for my 10 year old, the inconvenience of arriving late etc. When we arrived we were met by the owner who was friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean, bed was mega comfortable, bathroom was spacious and clean with a brand new shower. The room even had A/C which in July in France is necessary especially when we couldn't leave the window open over night because of the noise from the trains & a few passing cars (the only negative) breakfast was good, coffee was perfect - not all hotels have great coffee! Lol! The pool was lovely, clean, modern and child friendly, my 3 kids loved it! I would highly recommend this hotel, the food in the adjoining restaurant is proper "home-cooking", not expensive and the staff were very friendly. So yes, if you're looking for a hotel to stay for a few days or to break up your journey on the way South, book it! You won't be disappointed!

The hotel was an excellent place to stay for our visit to Perouges. The staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable. We had the set meal option in the restaurant which was 16 euros for residents ( 20 for non-residents). The steak we had was excellent. Breakfast - 8 euros, was also very good. We would happily recommend this hotel.

Everything was fine -- very clean if smallish rooms, lots of space in the lobby, nice terrace near the pool. A bit lacking in charm, but we just wanted a place for overnight. One problem: restaurant closed on weekends (but excellent ones in Pérouges a few minutes away).

This hotel is located on an easily accessible corner within a mile or two from the medieval city of Perouges. The owners spoke some English and were very friendly and accommodating. We had a room on the second floor and there is no lift so if you have lots of luggage or an issue with a couple flights of stairs you may want a first floor room. The room was large, clean and had a nice balcony. Even though it was close to the autoroute we didn't hear any traffic during the night. Large bathroom, tub and shower - they also had towel warmers! The breakfast is minimal but tasty. Would come back again.
