We had a great 2 night stay over Easter weekend. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite, our room relatively spacious, the location ideal for all key attractions in Lyon, and the happy hour was the icing on the cake. The staff also went out of their way to express mail me some medication I had left in...

We booked this hotel on-line (originally a four and a half star hotel called the Grand Hotel De La Paix) and paid commensurate price per night. When we arrived in Lyon we found the hotel had changed its name and the advertised price for our room was less than a third we paid. After raising concerns as to the size...

Can't remember how I decided upon the Hotel Silky but glad I did. Our arrival wasn't entirely great as the receptionist was trying to manage the front desk and the very popular happy hour. This meant a delay to our check in and a somewhat frazzled welcome from the lady in question. The rest of the time these areas were...

Our advance search for a room in Lyon over the Easter weekend was characterised by small rooms being sold at high prices, as is common in French cities. We decided to go with Hotel Silky because of it's great location, more reasonable pricing level and transparency about room sizes. In retrospect we were very happy with our choice. The location...

Location fascinating - close to shopping, restaurants and museums. Wonderful square with pink blossoming trees in front of the hotel. Staff is always smart, helpful and prompt with a kindness that comes as natural. Gourmet minutes from 6pm to 8pm is a feature I warmly recommend (wine&taste). Newspapers & coffee in lobby. Design is charming.

The hotel is well located for all the key sights, also near to restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, a great buffet with plenty of choice. Our room on the 5th floor was small but did have the benefit of a small balcony. Good bathroom and clean. We did have a...

The hotel is great. Very friendly staff, nice and clean rooms. The hotel offers an Apéro i.e. some wine and nibbles every evening from 6 to 8. The hotel is very well located with many restaurants and shops close by. The price for the room is very fair.

A tiny hotel Superbly located - a walking whisker away from the old town and most of the must do sites. Very friendly staff who would lay out wine and cheese every evening for guests. Not overly posh but a simple hotel with character

Great location. City center next to old town and 30 meters from a parking. Very mall cozy room. Elevator is ok for two, one with luggage . Great staff and the best reception, including a free coffee espresso machine at the lobby and in the room.
