About
Description
In the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, LE GRAND HOTEL DES TERREAUX is one of Lyon’s oldest hotels. It combines the atmosphere of an old-fashioned 19th century town house with a daringly modern, More innovative design. Every detail shows the personality of this place which is brought to life by the passion of its staff and the soul of its Guests. This lovely hotel enjoys a prime location on the peninsula, not far from the Lyon Opera House and the Théatre des Célestins, just on the edge of the historic centre of Lyon with its many bistro-style restaurants (known locally as ‘bouchons’), and a stone’s throw from the Place des Terreaux and the Musée des Beaux-Arts. As you will see from our guest book, we have had the privilege of welcoming a number of very famous guests. Less

The staff was absolutely amazing. I travel a lot and they were undoubtedly the best. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well cared for. The location is perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

Had 3 wonderfull days/ nights at the Gand hotel. Breakfast is full of varieties, including several products from Lyon. The staff is very polite and friendly. The superior double room was very comfortable and elegant - athe same time a little bit old-fashioned. Simply loveable. Th

Hello. I have a question about your bedding. Does your bedding ( pillows, duvets) have feathers or down in them? I am very, very allergic to feathers & down.
Hi, I just want to inform you that we don't have duvets in our rooms. They are replaced by bedspread. About the pillows, we just changed it for pillows made with cotton and polyester. It's confortable as those made with feathers or down without the allergic issue for our guests. We will enjoy to greet you at the hotel. If you need any further informations or to book a room, do not hesitate to contact us by email or with our website. Bye.

Is there parking?
Our hotel has no car park, but our customers are used to park at the parking des Terreaux which is located two blocks from the hotel. It is underground, watched and open 24h/7d. the rate is € 2 per hour, a package of € 4.90 is applied from 08 pm to 08 am. For a long stay, the "parking of the Opera" will be cheaper. It is 7 minutes by walk from the hotel and offers a 72 hours ticket for € 47.
