After reading the reveiws on trip advisor we booked the hotel for 2 nights. The location is perfect. The hotel is a very good 3 star hotel. It should be remembered that this is 3 stars. We got exactly what we expected-a clean, well run hotel, close to the train station, shopping, the old city, and many restaurants. Lyon is...

My little room was nice and I especially loved the bath/shower. The lobby is not too flash--dark leather sofas...so 1988! But the internet was good, and free. The main problem with Residence is the location--it is right on the main pedestrian street near clubs. I heard drunk people screaming all night, and kids congregating just below at all other times.

I stayed at La Residence for one night in August pre-river cruise and had no problems. I was on the fourth floor and yes, the elevator was a little slow, but certainly not a big deal. My single room was quite small (think cruise ship) but the room and bath were very clean and I had a quiet, restful night....

I was quite baffled as to why this hotel is rated so highly. It is centrally located but the rooms are shabby, the air conditioning barely works and the walls are paper thin. While the bathroom had been nicely renovated, the rest of the room looked like a cheap 50's motel with a flat screen TV. Our room was on...

We stayed at this hotel and found it okay, but not amazing. The staff was polite, but kind of cold. The room was pleasant (three windows and a balcony), clean. Bed was comfortable but short. We enjoyed the free wifi (ask the reception desk for the password) and the large bathroom. There were a fridge and a safe in the...

This is simply a spectacular hotel, considering the rates. We stayed in a quad room in August and payed 98 Euros per night! The room was huge, and amazingly clean! Bathroom was great, and the LCD TV was very nice too. Parking is at a nearby garage (15 Euros per night). An amazing find!

We stayed one night at this hotel, in the centre of Lyon. For the cost it was great. The room was comfy and the bathroom was really excellent. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Hotel La Residence may look a little institutional, but it offers good value for travelers who are on a budget. Traveling with our teenage daughter, we were pleased to find the hotel very centrally located on a pedestrian mall with easy access to shopping, cultural attractions and many restaurants. Our room was large by European standards with two double beds...

Based upon Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I stayed at La Residence. It is in an excellent location, right on a pedestrian zone. Paid parking is at a public garage about 4 to 5 short blocks away and costs about 15 euros daily. Because of the many other options within easy walking distance, we passed on the hotel's 7...
