The hotel is in a great location right along with river in a charming part of town. The room is absolutely beautiful and really spacious, with a charming fireplace and big jacuzzi tub. The room is clean as a button and very comfortable with AC/heat and lots of lights and even USB outlets for charing your devices. There is a...

We, a group of my wife's relatives, stayed in Lyon at the end of our river cruise on the Rhone River. The Hotel was right on the river, just across the road, and it was a unique type of hotel. It had a small entrance but spread out quite widely behind the frontage. there were two elevators serving the interior....

Right at the heart of Lyon, very convenient to move around, great location, right opposite to the canals. Serve nice hot French breakfast - The staff are so much of help. and English speaking, which was a relief. the rooms are nice, clean well kept. Very pricey though -

This hotel is very well situated for anyone who is visiting the city for pleasure,as it is on the quai in the old part of the town. It is easy walking - apart from cobbles - to all the major galleries and museums. Less handy for the Confluence. Good restaurants abound in the vicinity and across the footbridge to Rue...

We, a retired couple, stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting central Lyon. It's well-situated facing the Saone, just a block off the west end of the Old City, a 15€ taxi ride from and to the train station. Reception was friendly and the standard room was big enough for a European 3-star hotel, clean and with a...

Le Phenix is ideally located in the Vieille Ville. There is a footbridge close by which takes you to the Croix Rousse area (recommended). The Vaporetto stop which travels down the Saone to the Confluence is just in front of the hotel. Our twin room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking the atrium where breakfast is served. The...

I chose this hotel because my little sister had just recently moved to Vieux Lyon and I wanted to visit her. Le Phenix is conveniently located in the old town of Lyon and you can reach the shopping areas within walking distance. My recommendation is to take the water taxi (stop is right in front of the hotel) to the...

The Hotel Phenix is really great, it is in a perfect location for the Old Town's sights. We had an Executive Room which was really spacious, really clean and we had a neat view over the River Soane, with all of its comings and goings. We even at one stage had a huge canal cruise boat go rushing up the...

We spent 3 nights here in September. Although not fancy, this small hotel represents excellent value in a perfect location in the Old City. The room was quite basic, but with a comfortable bed and a newly renovated, very roomy bathroom. The staff are friendly and the breakfast perfectly adequate. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good-value hotel...

No Wi-Fi in the room, on my laptop or phone despite being advertised by the hotel. I was travelling and wanted to spend an evening catching up on emails so I specifically booked a hotel offering Wi-Fi. Plastic cups for your hot drinks, cheap boiled sweets chucked on the bed as a 'welcome'. Could not resolve my wifi issues, nor...
