We stayed here based upon reviews in travel guides and were very happy with the service, room and location. The staff could not have been more helpful and the accommodation was excellent. We were able to walk to the old city and all over modern Lyon. The subway was a short walk away as is the tourist office. We had...

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed the super location. Easy to walk out to all major attractions, pop back to drop off any shopping or shower before dinner etc. Rooms are a little tired, but size is fine. Would likely return just to be so close to the action.

A lovely hotel in a perfect spot..room was a bit small but clean and functional ! If staying in Lyon the hotel is v central and the staff were helpful when asked for suggestions! Would definitely stay there again .

It was a wonderful discovery made through the TA community. We were on the 6th floor in the back and liked the surroundings very much. It was close to museums, restaurants and transportation. Very clean accommodations and wonderful front desk personnel, who facilitated our visit. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a weekend away on Eurostar and found the hotel in just the right place, close to everything, in a quiet square, great little restaurant just round the corner and a very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful, decor was good, and the place felt very welcoming. We didn't take the 13 Euro breakfast - coffee and...

Very well situated hotel. Friendly service staff and good sized rooms. Recommend for travellers wanting easy access to shopping in fashion district or a quick walk over the bridge to the magnificent Old Lyon .

I have looked on the 'booking.com' site and the pictures are very different to what the place actually is. The rooms don't have those nice throws or nice pillows on, the bathrooms are not that spotless-our bathroom smelt, the toilet seat was half coming off and there were all black chippings in the bath, the screen to pull across for...

Service was first rate and professional. Rooms good sized and well appointed. Customer service excellent. Located just a few feet from the riverside, a perfect location. Great French 3-star hotel. Go and enjoy.

Good points: location; lots of well-regarded restaurants in the vicinity. Bad points: location. If you have a car, there’s (apparently) no on-site parking, and if you’re walking, it’s a fair way to anywhere you might want to go. The road system is incomprehensible, and waving down a taxi is probably a forlorn hope. Positives: spotless; negatives, my room was small,...

Hotel des Artistes is brilliantly located in the Presqu'Ile area of Lyon between the rivers. It is everything a French 3 star hotel should be but most often isn't. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and well appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable and the aircon is effective and near silent. Breakfast is all you would want and served in...
