Clean but older rooms. The rooms have a little kitchen with microwave and stove. The badroom is small an not practical (the boiler is above the toilet/ when you take a shower the entire badroom floor is wet). The elevators are also older. The public rooms/areas are new. Big plus is the underground parking. Also friendly staff. The big problem is that the hotel has no restaurant and that there are no restaurants near the hotel.
My experience in the Odalys Bioparc was terrible. As soon as we arrived to the hotel we were welcomed by a quite rude receptionist. The sign with her name had the UK flag which one would believe that means that she speaks English. However, don’t fool yourself, the only thing she knows how to say in English is the memorize speech she was given for those who don’t speak French. After being obliged to pay for the city tax, which was supposed to be included, and for which we are still waiting for the invoice, we went to the room. The room was dirty, being full of spots on the carpet and with spider webs in the kitchen. One of the lamp was faulty and was always flashing and the other had fungi and some other insects, which means that it wasn’t cleaned for a long time. Finally, one of the bed sheets was also full of spots and hair. For a client the room was not presentable and when confronted with that the not so nice receptionist said “I can’t do anything” acting very confused as if she didn’t understand what we were speaking in English. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a somewhat reasonable accommodation in Lyon since it’s not prepared to host any guests and it is also located well away from the city center.…
This hotel is a fair way out of the main tourist area but there is a tram not too far away. The laundry facilities were a plus. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. The bed was very hard and not comfortable. There was a lot of work being done out the front of the hotel that you have to navigate when coming in and out.
Cheap but very few amenities. We're currently staying in this hotel for the World Cup and I'm finding it frustrating enough to write this on our vacation. On the plus side: this hotel is relatively inexpensive, has a refrigerator in the room, and has air conditioning. On the negative side: you want more toilet paper? Get it yourself from the lobby. You want your room cleaned? Pay an extra €20 for that. When they don't actually clean your room (even though you paid) and you ask for a clean sheet, that's an extra €7. Want change for the washing machine? You can f*** right off. My advice: if you're looking for a cheap hotel where you have to pay for every add-on, then this is a good choice.
We were there for congress and check in was huge amount of people waiting, but the lady at reception keeped calm and worked fast. (good employee for other hotels) rooms nice clean with full equiped kitchen. breakfast a little bit more veggies would be ok. internet no problem. free parking area.
