Had a lovey week in chamonix at this great hotel. Very impressed with the views, the food, the quality of service and the attitude of the staff who went out of their way to help. Would stay again. Loved it

A brilliant holiday - hotel is basic but more than comfortable and the staff are all excellent. Lovely breakfasts, afternoon tea/cake, aperitifs and canapés before a 3 course dinner. It I am honest, the food was basic but the free wine, relaxed atmosphere and amazing views of Mont Blanc more than make up for it! The only criticism we had...

Have spent a lovely week at the Sapiniere. The hotel itself is not 5 star, but is clean and comfortable with amongst the best views I have had from a ski hotel. The food is also not five star, but was good and prepared with care. The staff work hard to ensure a confortable stay and create a friendly atmosphere...

Positives : Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Good location for the slopes and the town centre South facing balcony with lovely views Generous wine allowances at dinner On the whole, the meals were ok - some better than others Negatives: Very tired building. In need of a refurb and some investment. Bit like a hostel. The sitting room/bar area was...

We're so disappointed to learn that, despite many enjoyable aspects of your Inghams holiday, you won't consider travelling with us again on account of your feelings towards the Chalet Hotel La Sapiniere. As a three diamond property, the Sapiniere does feature at the lower end of our three to five diamond rated property portfolio, though it is of course concerning...

Have experienced many ski hotels over the last ten years and this is by far the best I have stayed in the French Alps. The hotel was being run by Ingram's. The accommodation was clean and relatively updated. Food was superb with a varied menu and it could not be faulted. The staff were just great, pleasant, helpful and just...

My mum and I have just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Sapiniere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great position with nice views, it is just a short walk into the main town centre and the various bus stops which take you to the different...

A fantastic hotel in a great position. Staff can't do enough. Yes, the hotel is a little old but all the important things are in place: Good food, comfy beds, convenient boot room and near the slopes. Highly recommended and i have been using this type of hotel for over 30 years

Ignore the hype this place is a dump, the heating doesn't work, the plumbing is awful and the electrics are downright dangerous. The floor in our room was filthy, the radiators didn't work, we had two fan heater which are noisy and dangerous, the patio doors don't lock or close properly and so there is a constant gale blowing. The...

We visited La Sapinere with Inghams the week before Christmas 2016. Although there was a slight lack of snow, the Inghams reps were excellent at assisting us and became good friends during our stay. The hotel, although a little dated, was perfect for us. We were travelling as a group of 7 adults and 6 children! The children were welcomed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Arguably the best located hotel in Chamonix. The Savoy nursery slopes are literally just over the road from the hotel, from where the Savoy téléski lift whisks you up to the Brévent gondola, to access one of the best intermediate areas in the resort.Alternatively, the ski-bus to Chamonix's other ski areas stops just 50m away. The hotel's attractive dining room has semi-circular bay windows with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Here you will enjoy Inghams great choice of menus and complimentary quality wines for dinner. Inghams offer the conviviality of larger tables for chalet-style dining with your fellow guests, or the opportunity to dine à deux should you wish. The atmospheric lounge/bar welcomes you for your pre-dinner apéritif and canapés, or to relax after dinner over coffee and a night-cap ... more   less
