The rooms are very small and the visitors are noisy. Partly that is also due to the doors that close with a bang. There is no receptionist. I would not stay there anymore, walk around and there are better options.

Our first guest before the road to Zermatt . Had in the next 10 days only one which was even worse . Only two beds in the Room, we musted pay for 3 People. Breakfast in small version. Funny, is that this property is named after Whymper.

Stayed there with a bunch of friends before a trail running race for a couple of days Very good location as very central. Quite cheap for Chamonix. Rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast was ok. People working were nice Nothing really fancy but a good choice if you want to stay for a short stay with friends and want to...

The central location is why we booked here and we weren't disappointed. Our 4 person room had a wonderful view of Mont Blanc. The staff was very helpful when at the last minute we needed to book another night during their peak season. Although the furniture could use a little refreshing we would definitely rebook because of the location and...

Location very good, room ok for short stay, accomodation a bit worn out, in need of a makeover. The location however is exellent, the out side grounds of the property are in a bad state of repair, and need attention. Some of the rooms have windows opening directly onto the street, this could be a security problem. Also the noise...

The team at Chalet Whymper were very flexible toward our late arrival and early morning start and ensured that we left fully fed and rested. Staff were very friendly and basic accommodation all clean and suitable. Located right in the centre of town, I would definitely stay there again.

The room are clean. The view from the dining room is superb. The staff are very generous, friendly, and heart-warming. The only drawback is that its location is quite difficult to find. We arrived late at night, and had to walk around and ask some people before we could find the place.

Given your feedback we felt it pertinent to let you know that Chalet Whymper is now under new management. As part of taking over we have spent time going through all the reviews in order to address any concerns. We are very confident moving forward that the product and price for such a well located Chalet Lodge is now correct
