We wanted to find a self-sufficient and unexpensive way to base ourselves in the Geneva/Annecy area. We found these cabins available as part of the Camp du Belvedere, a site run by the local council. The cabins are in the trees above the main campground, with porches, handy well-stocked kitchens, and decent if firm beds. You can open the windows...

We traveled for weeks in France and this place was top!! It was the cleanest, friendliest run campgrouds we encountered. The location is also fabulous for cyclists who love to climb- the views at the top will leave you breathless! We highly recommend this place for all types of travellers!

We stayed at Belvedere for the first two weeks of July, 2016. It is a municipal site, run very efficiently by friendly family team. It is a terraced site and we had excellent views of the lake. Generous sized plots for tents, good, clean toilet, shower and laundry facilities. Excellent restaurant and bar, serving simple but very good food at...

This campsite doesn't do reservations, so it's a case of turn up and see if there is a space available. We arrived in July early afternoon and had the choice of 4 or 5 slots, but the site is full every day by around 5pm, so arrive early. The camping spaces are on the small side, but adequate unless you...

Great site with clean shower and toilet facilities. Fairly small pitches but the site is terraced so you don't feel too close to others. 10 minute walk into town centre .. 30 minute walk back as its a fairly steep hill climb! Good value at not much more than €50 for a tent pitch for three nights (two people). Happy...

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt the need to for the staff at this campsite. They were the most helpful a people I have met in all my travel travel. We had a problem with our car and they helped translate on the phone for over an hour with garages and the rental car company. They also drove...

Stayed here for a night on our way down to the Italian Lakes. The staff were lovely and very friendly, the location is pretty good up on the hill above the lake. The walk down the hill and along the lake into Annecy is great, the walk back is a bit harder but at least you will be fuelled with...

A very well organised site with clean and plentiful washing sanitary facilities. Town centre and lakeside are walkable for the energetic. Restaurant menu exceeded expectations for a modestly priced site. Staff were very good to deal with although "get you by" knowledge of French is a great advantage. Essential tip - If you are booking a camping trailer such as...

Visited this site with our family of 4 in our 8 meter motor home just prior to the French end of term holidays. As such the site was about 60% full. First impression was that the pitches for motor homes and caravans were rather small and surfaced part grass and part gravel, overall pretty level....whereas the tent areas were well...

We loved this campsite: friendly welcome; slightly old-fashioned campsite with interesting layout and varied pitches (quite small); feel of countryside; cleanest toilets/ showers that we have encountered to date; within walking distance of town centre (steep hill - but it gets easier each time you do it!)

“Cabins have better views closer to car park, but might be noisier. Ones back in the trees are near a path that goes to Annecy, a good walk.”

“Tip 1: Very popular, especially at weekends, so you need to book well in advance.”
