This is our third visit to St. Remy and our third time staying with Josette and Jean-Marie. Le Mas de la Chouette is definitely our favorite place to spend time as a family! We first came when our kids were little and they loved the pool, the animals and the gorgeous town, only 5 minutes away. Now they are teenagers...

Josette provides the most peaceful and lovely place to stay, within their bio farm producing organic herbs of provence. It is completely rural and quiet, just lie back and relax; we saw the European Rollier (Roller), owl lizards and the herd of sheep are so funny. . . . and yet St Remy is 5 mins away, a little more...

Other reviewers tell the truth - the charming and attentive hosts provide a couple of self-contained gites (each can sleep four people in comfort, with bath, shower, washing machine, drier, dishwasher, coffee maker, t.v.) in a large garden setting where the tranquility, birdsong, and abundant vegetation are more than a little reminiscent of the sleeping beauty fairy tale. Nature does...

We hadn't booked to stay here as part of our trip but are so glad we did after leaving what we did have booked early. Albeit it felt a little too secluded (we were the only guests at the property) it's quirky, well appointed and very pretty - with wonderful hosts offering fresh home made breakfasts each day (be sure...

Nature is always trying to take everything back. It's a rule - and in Provence nature has a pretty formidable armoury. Maybe that's why the Mas de la Chouette is showing some signs of nature getting the upper-hand. In the garden, weeds and plants live side by side. You might find the odd cobweb in a quiet corner. But that's...

This is one of the most enchanting B&B's that we have visited in Europe. We traveled with another couple and one apartment worked splendidly for us, with two good sized bedrooms with views, a fully equipped kitchen, lovely spacious bathroom with tub and shower and laundry! upstairs, and half bath downstairs. The central living area was comfortable and all was...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we couldn't ask for a more perfect stay in every way. Josette, the owner went "above and beyond" to make our stay enjoyable - from her delicious breakfasts to accommodating our early morning departure to providing many local recommendations and insights. The house is big, beautiful, very clean and quiet....

Quite simply – Le Mas de la Chouette is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed, and we had the best holiday there ever in July 2012! We rate this property and our hosts 5 stars – how much did we enjoy it? We have re-booked for July 2013. Our hosts Josette and Jean-Marie were very friendly and...
