The place used to be a five star hotel but today looks overrated. The pool area is great, and that is it. The rooms are comfortable and the bed is good, but the air conditioning is noisy and doesn't do the job, also, there aren't options of channel at the TV. The breakfast is also poor, with few options.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Professional, well trained staff made our stay very comfortable Be careful not to mention that you are staying for a congress in the hotel as the prices mysteriously increase and greatly when this is mentioned. ( use an online booking site to book to be guaranteed a fair price)

This is an old (and old-style) recently renovated hotel. It maintains the charm of the old hotels which were in high demand during the period thought small cities to perform hydrotherapy. The hotel face the Parque das Aguas which deserves a visit. Rooms are very large with very large bathrooms. Furniture is old but in very good conditions and it...

This is an old hotel, that has been renovated by the new owners. The rooms are great, service and food is wonderful. If you have the chance, reserve the room with meals, because there aren't good restaurants in the city. The spa a n the hotel is wonderful and you can't miss it.

Great swimming pool, so don't forget your swimming gear. There is a valet parking included. Hotel is very well centered. Near the park and the small market. The rooms are clean but simple. The bathroom is really antique. It is not what you expect for this price. Breakfast has an enormous variety. Lunch and diner ok but not exiting. There...

The Gloria Hotel at Caxambu has a great history. It's one of the very few hotels in Brazil that was able to keep the classic decor in a good shape, well preserved/ maintained, up to the current days. Some of the furniture and the cluttery may date from the 30s when the hotel was opened to work as a Casino,...

Just returned from 5 days at the Gloria for a wedding. Never expected such an excellent overall experience in a small Brazilian city. We upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite (2 twins and 1 queen) which was well worth the money for families (esp. since the rack rate is very low compared to similar U.S. hotels). Food is excellent at...

I went here for a meeting. The room was very comfortable and clean. Noise from the corridor and from the outside can be disturbing at times. Food at the restaurant was excellent. Valet parking was provided at no extra charge. The hotel is in the center of the town, not a real hacienda as I was lead to believe from...

I am brazilian and have visited Caxambu many years ago. I always enjoyed the slow pace of this town. This time I brought my family (my husband and daughter are americans) to show them a little bit of the Brazil country side. Hotel Gloria has been a traditional hotel in Caxambu for many decades. Located across the 'Parque das Aguas'...

I was driving across Brazil and i stooped off the road at nightfall admidst a thunderstorm looking for a decent place to stay. By chance i came upon this 4 star beautiful old palace of a hotel. Without knowing more about the history i cant say why this magnificent grand hotel ended up in the middle of this provence north...
