I loved this hotel. It is certainly very different than any other hotel I stayed in before, It is very modern, minimalistic and quirky. It is about 20 min walk from the Old Port up and down the hill! It took us about an hour walk from the train station, but I think only because we did not really know...

I was greatly surprised to discover Mama Shelter in Marseille. I liked everything about my two-night stay there! The hotel is new, hip, very good value, with an extremely helpful young staff, and a cool bar/restaurant. The neighborhood feels very authentic, with restaurants oriented to local customers instead of offering tourist food, nice shops, and within walking distance to the...

....don't have a bottomless credit card and don't mind a bit of a walk into the town centre through a bit of authentic, gritty cityscape, Mama Shelter is a great choice. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere permeates the place and attracts a (sizeable, 'young, hip and beautiful') local crowd to the bar-cum-restaurant-cum-nightclub for weekend evenings. If you want to party, I...

It might be cool, but for us it was too much, not our taste. There were many mask of Disney character in the room, It made us scared... I think some love here, some doesn't like... Others were great. Clean, nice staff...Check deeply before booking if it is your taste or not.

Mama Shelter has a great website and caught our attention with it's unusual style. I must admit that the room was nice, tidy and comfortable. However there are still things mama could work on. Me and my boyfriend stayed in a room for 2 but in the bathroom there was only one little shower gel. No shower cap. We've asked...

We have chosen this hotel for one night before the race Run in Marseille in which I participated. Good location, close to a metro station and within a walking distance to the Old Port. The hotel is quite funky with a modern look and smart decor - bare cement, pastel accents and graffiti. Our room was comfortable and clean, with...

Absolutely fabulous hotel in Marseille. Our room was 100 % clean & very comfortable with micro wave facilities for those who want to heat up a take away. Marvellous bedding, a very good rainshower and a funky vinyl floor in our room zo thank God no carpet floor. Hotel is close by public transport and the street at night was...

While it may be a bit away from the main tourist areas, Mama Shelter offers a quality guest experience. Rooms are comfortable with a great attention to detail. Staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English (yes, my French is very poor). I paid in advance and got a great deal. For those touring around, there is parking on site....

Stayed alone for two nights in a Queen Room, and absolutely loved the place right from the lobby! I was granted an early check in, and greeted by an ultra friendly receptionist who spoke swanky good English, enthisiastically offering her assistance for helping me get around. The rooms were well furnished, designed ministically, with ambient lightings and an amazingly comfortable...

Super-trendy and Super-friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I really liked the fact that they offered free movies. The restaurant was also "Super". I can truly recommend the home-made buffalo mozzarella starter. Bar was nice, relaxed, with delicious cocktails. I am a fan.

“We made good use of the microwave and were on a high floor - the hotel has a very popular bar open to non residents so if you want quiet go for a higher floor. We did not hear a sound. Oh, and you must view the photos and videos that people made in the rooms on supplied Apple Mac - so amusing and creative:) ”
