Loved this place. The room was perfect, very clean and with a super comfy bed. The front desk staff were super helpful and very friendly . They recommended some great restaurant choices for dinners and lunches outside the hotel.

We visited on trip to Paris as my girlfriend really wanted to stay here and it was the perfect choice. It is hidden away in the city. It was vibrant and modern catering to a younger generation with its art and technology. We dined in the restaurant which again was perfect. It was extremly busy but provided a great ambience....

Sorry my review will be dithyrambic again for the Mama... just because once again the hotel is worth it. I had never been to Marseille's Mama before (just Paris and Lyon) and I already know I'll go back! Perfect spot because it's in a real popular district, not turistic thus very quiet and not far from authentic restaurents and bars....

Its a good hotel for a budget (mid-range) travel. It has a very trendy interior and is located conveniently. The restaurant is very big and has a nice bar. The staff are very friendly and polite. The rooms are not the biggest but then its value for what you pay for the place.

A modern hotel, designed by Philip Stark, where the rooms have mask for you to take pictures and create your own stories. It is located by a lot of restaurants and bars, your just have to go around to discover them. Have Fun!!!

Simply an outstanding place drop by let alone stay. I had booked several months in advance and was unsure quite what to expect. On arrival and throughout, staff were superb. Unless you particularly lucky or are willing to pay about 4-5 times as much this cannot easily be matched elsewhere. They were always on hand if you wanted local tips,...

Mama Shelter is a no-nonsense establishment located in the centre of Marseille. The hotel has a café annex restaurant that is very popular with young people. Mama Shelter claims to be an urban refuge, folksy, inviting and full of spirit. The hotel opened in 2012 and offers 126 rooms over six floors. It radiates living-with-an-iPhone and is operated as a...

We stayed in Mama Shelter following a friend suggestion. Although I knew Philip Stark I had no idea that he had designed a hotel chain. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. The service is very helpful. But the interesting part is the concept! Everything revolves around mama. Olive oil is Virgin Mama, Shampoo is Mama Loves you from top...

A friend had stayed with this group in another location. Great brand....fun, modern, slightly qwerky. Great food, cocktails and atmosphere. Buffet breakfast very good. Location in marseille slightly out from centre but not far at all to walk in (10 mins roughly). Will definitely go to another mama shelter!!

Why do I need a second lavatory, a microwave and water boiler (without coffee powder or cups), if the room for this is at the expense of a much too small bath? I was there for a night from Saturday to Sunday. Quite hungry on Saturday evening, I couldn't enjoy the famous Michelin decorated restaurant, because it turns into a...

“We made good use of the microwave and were on a high floor - the hotel has a very popular bar open to non residents so if you want quiet go for a higher floor. We did not hear a sound. Oh, and you must view the photos and videos that people made in the rooms on supplied Apple Mac - so amusing and creative:) ”
