Well, I found the place to be fairly mediocre in terms of its accommodations. My main issue came with the laundry and the fact their staff members lied to me about it. So I had I paid the 7 euros for them to wash and dry it, and they said it would take 3 hours. I return 4 hours later,...

Fantastic atmosphere, great friendly staff. Kim was a personal highlight of my stay, lots of useful tips for where to go and eat! Good value for money as the rooms are very spacious. They offer community dinners for 5 euros which are always very tasty.

Nice quality of the beds and clean bathrooms. Very good atmosphere and friendly people working there, they took us to drink typical drinks and were really kind. The breakfast could be better. Nice location but no elevator in the third floor. Is a really good option to be in Marseille.

Guys working there were kind and helpful. You can use large kitchen and spend you time meeting lovely people in the large living room. Absolutely...

Excellent location, decent price. The bunk beds have rather large lockable [with your own lock] storage areas under the bed which was nice. The breakfast is spartan, bread [baguette] butter, jelly, and possibly a piece of fruit. There is only one toilet for the whole lot of guests, and for me the "communal" hand towel to dry your hands on...

Smallest hostel I've stayed at, three dorms and only one toilet for everyone. I was sick at that time and it was a proper nightmare stay. I am not sure about the size of the ensuite rooms though. The hostel is centrally located, just a five minutes walk from the "Vieux Port" and the metrostation. Staff is friendly and there...

Stayed here in the summer of 2015. Was a great little hostel that is down the main strip. Its a short walk to the old port and close to lots of amenities near by (little bakery next door). The hostel itself is located in a nice little building. Beds are comfortable - however, there is only one toilet (slight downside;...

Hello Marseille is in a great location in Vieux-Port and very easy to find. The staff was nice-they made coffee in the middle of the day for me when I asked after a bunch of us returned from a long hike. Breakfast was basic, but community dinner was lots of fun, and quite good! My only complaint was that said...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hello Marseille Hostel is located in a safe area in the very center of Marseille, the "Vieux Port". Our HostelHello Marseille is a brand new concept in town. We opened May 13rd 2010 in fully renovated facilities within a charming typical 19th century Haussmanian building (marble floor, high ceiling with nice mouldings, large rooms). Note: Beware, we are a backpackers hostel ...On the third floor, no lift. So to our great regret, our hostel is unfortunately not convenient for - disabled persons or persons with limited physical abilities - minors under 18, even if travelling with elders. ... more   less
