This is a 10 minute walk to the railway station, 10 minute walk to the port, and five minutes to a mini supermarket.
Check in was quick, efficient, and friendly. Getting an Uber to and from the airport was not a problem.
The room was spacious and had everything I needed for my business trip. I had enough space to unpack my suitcases, there is a desk to work, excellent high speed Wi-Fi (see picture), and a comprehensive kitchen.
I had a balcony, and although the view wasn’t anything to advertise, it was quiet outside my room and allowed fresh air at night.
The kitchen had a fridge, microwave, stove, and utensils, including a wine cork extractor. With a baguette, cheese, and wine bought from the local supermarket, I could work after my business meetings!
The bathroom is spacious and has a place to unload one’s toiletries.

We visited here in July for the Grand Prix so we just needed a base for 2 adults. This place had 24hr check in and was a 10min walk to the train station so it ticked those boxes!
There is security on the door at night as the hotel is in a rough part of town but within a 5min walk, you are close to the Port which is gorgeous so it's a good location for exploring.
The room was large and cool with a balcony, there was a definite smell from the drains so if you're sensitive to smells then it might not be the one for you but the kitchenette is large and well stocked with a Nespresso so that was nice.
They provide a breakfast board for 9 euros which covered all the bases and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and you get a balcony (it overlooks some apartments but it's nice to have somewhere to hang wet towels etc).
I'd recommend staying here if you're looking for a base to eat/sleep. It's not luxury but it had everything we needed for a short stay in 38c heat!

The hotel has a really good location within walking distance from the Gare de Marseille-Saint-Charles railway station and to the Vieux Port. It was so easy to get there from the airport by bus. A really important thing for me the beds were very comfortable. You can rarely meet such kind of stuff in such not too expensive accommodation. The hotel is fresh repaired and the kitchen has everything that you need. It’s probably not the perfect place to have a romantic holiday but staying with friends was really comfortable. The staff was very friendly and we got some recommendations about the neighborhood. A big value of this staying for me was the silence at night.

The location is good but not the best. The rooms are noise as you can hear people on the other rooms specially above your room, cleaners are noise as they start cleaning around before 10AM and corridors smells a bit like the carpets need a deep cleaning. Toilet is literally in the kitchen with no sink..not hygienic.. after using the toilet you have to wash your hands in the kitchen sink or walk back to the shower room.
Staff not friendly.. I stayed here for 8 nights and I understand that is my responsibility to clean my flat but we were told that we would get a complementary cleaning half way through our stay for the length of our renting. This never happened so we had to chase it.. the staff at the reception did not listened properly and said we don’t get any cleaning before we leave. So we looked confused and he changed his mind saying “sorry “ as we are entitled to it for the length of our stay.. the staff booked it but no time was given so next day we were woken up by the cleaner at just before 9AM.. obviously we were in the middle of our breakfast and asked if was possible to have it done later on on the day.. as language barrier was an issue from both sides we had to chase it again.. perhaps i would only recommend it if you are on holidays but not business as you won’t be able to concentrate or relax after your busy day of work.

We arrived after sunset. As the Uber was driving us in to the town from the airport, we passed through residential and commercial areas that seemed to be deserted. Buildings in the area were covered in graffiti and the few people that were around appeared to be homeless. This is not a problem of the hotel, but rather the neighborhood, so the hotel does not lose points for this.
The hotel itself is set back from the street, in a dark area between two alleys. This was not exactly what we were expecting. If the hotel could put up some brighter lights to illuminate the area in front of the building, that would be a plus. They do lock the front door at night, you need your key to get in and they have a security guard in the lobby overnights which is a good thing.
Now for the good: Check in was quick and easy. Front desk staff were very pleasant and spoke good English (much appreciated for that). The lobby was definitely "no frills" but the room itself was very good. Comfortable bed, large room, fully functional kitchen with refrigerator in the room, good selection of cable TV channels. Bathroom clean and very good hot water and water pressure. They even had a laundry room and the front desk staff were very helpful in explaining how to work the washer and dryer.
The "breakfast" wasn't much by North American standards, but enough to get you going for the day.
Would I stay here again? If the price was right compared to the other hotels located closer to the water (where most of the tourist activity is), then yes, as the issues I noted above really aren't the responsibility of the hotel (with the exception of adding better lighting outside the building at night).

Very good customer service, high quality in the apartment, everything very well thought out. It was great to have a kitchen too inside the studio. Perfect cleaning. Very comfortable, good mattresses (although as a couple we prefer a "1 piece" mattress and not 2 single mattresses put together). Italian style shower which was perfect. We could leave our suitcases in a safe place after check-out, much appreciated. Great location.
We want to go back to Staycity and wish many other accomodations could provide such a high level of quality and service. Thank you

The apartment/hotel was very spacious and clean. The bed was the softest we experienced in France (after visiting 4 other locations for this 3 week trip) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Having an onsite dining option was fantastic since we didn't really feel safe going out at night. That's the one downside to this property. While conveniently close to the train station and the old port, it was a little sketchy in the surrounding areas (not the hotel's fault at all and they made up for it with safety features of the hotel). There was also a laundry facility onsite, which was great for our family needs.

Very convenient location, 10 minutes walk from bus station and less than 10 minutes to the port. Easy check-in and staff left us check in early because the apartment was ready on our early arrival. Very obliging staff, also we were upgraded to a bigger apartment for no apparent reason which was absolutely brillant. Apartment was very very big, clean, also had a kitchen area with microwave, mini dishwasher, fridge, cooking hob and all necessary utensils. Bed was very comfortable too. Overall a great experience staying here and i'd highly recommend.

We had booked a disabled room over a month ago. After we checked in we went to our room. It had a very strong and sharp paint smell from renovation inside our room and the whole floor. We tried to open the windows for about 30 mins but the smell was still strong and we started to feel dizzy. We asked two people at the reception to help. They just said they could not help because it should have not smelled bad as the renovation was done 4 weeks ago and they had no other room for us to change. One of them even said that there was another guest asking to change the room because of the similar reason and that was the last room they had. They allowed us to refund but other than that they could not help. It was raining and at almost 9pm. We had to call several hotels around to see if there was a disabled guest room available. Almost all of them (except one) were fully booked and the prices were extremely high due to the last minute reservation we had to make. We had to go by ourselves to the new hotel while it was raining. By the time we arrived at the new hotel, my wheelchair was extremely wet and I got a cold later. Horrible experience and would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those with disabilities.
