I adore Art Deco hotels and ones with a history to boot, positioned brilliantly on the corniche with billion-dollar views of Marseille's harbour. This is a gem because even though the busy Le Petit Nice is 10 minutes walk away, the noise of traffic is constant. The solution: close the soundproofed French doors to the wee balcony, and you can...

wanted to get away from the chain oriented hotels for a more authentic french feel. we got it at hotel peron. the room was decent size although the mattress was on the floor. It definitely has an older feel about it, but I thought that made it more authentic. the staff didn't speak any english so any help for sights,...

hotel far from the center, but it's worth it - take the rooms with sea view (he is awesome), have small balconies and can perfectly meet the sunset overlooking the sea and the Chateau d'If. family-run hotel and a French flavor is present ... the staff caring and polite.

If you want an affordable sea view and get away from the hustle and bustle of Marseille this is the place. Hotel Peron offers great sea views from most rooms. Each room is different. We were in nr 33, but I'd probably take a corner room next time. They are larger and also have great views (eg. nr. 25 or...

Before coming to Marseille I was a bit nervous because of the comments regarding the safety comments on the forums. Due to business issues there was a possibility that I could be by myself on this trip. So, the place I was going to stay was important for me. I saw comfortable and modern hotels but on the reviews I...

My partner and I were looking looking forward to a lovely hotel with sea view. The view was beautiful, however the room we got was filthy, with a damp smell, dusty, old blankets and furniture with spit marks on it. We requested to get another room and the landlady started to argue with us, and asked for extra 30 euros...

I stayed here for two nights with my wife. We loved the hotel, with decor that you would never find elsewhere and with an eccentric character all of its own. The view was wonderful and we liked the location: a bit out of the main town and on the sea front made it seem more relaxing. The bus stops into...

Despite a problem with the air con this is a good hotel. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The view is wonderful with the Château d'If in clear sight. We had a reduction which we did not have to ask for due to the air conditioning problem. Housekeeping was okay but with dusty floors. Recommended.

Having read the Tripadvisor reviews about this hotel I was not quite sure what to expect! I decided to book with Hotel Peron despite some negative reviews simply based on the location as we only had one night in Marseille and wanted to visit the main sights whilst having to be at the main train station very early the next...

We recently spent two nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The owners/staff are most helpful, views are exceptional, the rooms are very quiet and breakfast was very good. It is also well located such that it is a pleasant 15 to 20 minutes walk to "Le Vieux Port". Now, it's true that the decoration is a bit...
