We arrived after the long walk from Clwyd Gate and were met by Hugh a towering figure in pyjamas who runs the place. He quickly made a pot of tea and told us about Glan Clwyd Isa as we relaxed. He then showed us to our rooms. We had the ensuite which was on the small side but good enough....

Having looked at the website, we were afraid Glan Clwyd Isa might be a bit snooty and not quite the place for mucky hikers off Offa's Dyke. We couldn't have been more wrong! Hugh is friendly and welcoming, collecting us from the Dyke (it's about a mile from the house and you don't want an extra mile at the end...

What a great place to relax after a gruelling 12 mile walk. Hughie and Linda have such a lovely place, surrounded by countryside and we were so well looked after. Comfortable night and fantastic breakfast. Our thanks to you both. Nog, Sarge, Phippsy and Bash

we have enjoyed a lot staying here one night on our Offa´s Dyke Tour. Extremely friendly and funny hosts. House full of history dating back to 14th century. Many parts are still very old, Nicely arranged with old furnitures. Great breakfast- all fresh products. We felt like in a manor house with great garden and litle lake so far from...

Stopped here for one night as part of our Offa's Dyke walk. The owners create a very homely feel, chatting to you whilst you sit around their kitchen table whilst they make you a pot of tea and cook your (very tasty!) breakfast. Hugh was kind enough to take us to the local pub and book us a return taxi...

Glan Clwyd is in a beautiful location with a friendly welcome: tea and delicious cake. Very homely with traditional family accommodation and very willing proprietors. Just one en suite in the main house but a bathroom and a shower-room so no queues formed and there was plenty of hot water. Beds a little creaky .

6 of us stayed here on Offas Dyke walk.Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. No tea or coffee in rooms, but free to make in the kitchen. Two of our party were there early and were offered cake and tea. Some rooms not en suite but two shower rooms so not a problem.Downing arms about a mile and half away, but owner...

I stayed at Glan Clwyd Isa which is well located close to Offa's dyke at Bodfari (just a mile on a flat, council road otherwise you can be picked or dropped next to the Offa's dyke path). The room I stayed in was very spacious with everything I needed after a long day's walk. The breakfast was excellent and the...

Turned up expecting a B&B and was shown to my own cottage. On top of this I also got a free taxi back and forth to the pub. Really made to feel welcome. Everything clean and I would certainly consider one of the properties for a longer stay. Thanks

As always we got a warm welcome with a cup of tea/coffee and cream sponge when we arrived after hosing our horses down and putting them in a huge field. Three of us had ridden18 miles over from Loggerheads to Glan Clwyd Isa B&B and were staying the night. We retraced our footfall the next day. Linda had cooked us...
