We love this hotel, because it is small, charming and just what France should be - but isn't always these days. It is in the centre of a pretty village, in a prime wine area, perfect for visiting vineyards. The food was wonderful and you could get well-priced carafes of really good quality local wine. The service was excellent, even...

This is a charming little village in the middle of beautiful countryside. Unfortunately, the hotel is not quite as charming. The rooms are small, the WiFi does not work unless you go downstairs, and the staff does not speak English. (Admittedly, we should have learned more French before we left.) The dinner, on the other hand, was first-class!

We have been several times to La Courtille but last year wer a little put off by our experience. The waitress was less than friendly but we returned last night with a friend for one more try as it is close to our house in the area. What a lovely surprise to find the place buzzing with young, very friendly...

This came recommended by our host in Leynes. Amazing food and wonderful service. We were thoroughly satisfied! The starter was particularly good, as was the steak and wine. Better than expected and highly recommended!

My wife and I spent the night in this charming little place on our way to the south and we could not have wished for a better way to start our vacation, really : a very nice scenery around the omnipresent Solutré rock, a quiet night in a cosily decorated room called "La Frérie" with a view on the village's...

We stayed for one night in this delightful small Hotel. Lovely staff and a fabulous evening meal. In this pretty village. I would recommend that you book a table as the restaurant is certainly popular. For good reason. Michelin star quality food. The rooms are tastefully appointed and we had a beautiful view. It is worthwhile booking an extra night...

Our lovely room faced south over the village and rolling hills. It was well appointed (separate bath and shower) and spacious. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant downstairs on our first night. Breakfast is served in an upstairs dining room and was plentiful and delicious. My only complaint was that the bed in our room was lumpy...

I gave a review on this place earlier. Just so great to get of the motorway at Macon (after 7 hrs driving) and find this place well hidden in the hills around Vergisson and la Roche Solutre. The menu is always a surprise and provides food with a high grade of finesse and quality. Add a nice glass of white...

We were impressed, when we arrived in our room. The hotel has rooms with a very interesting decoration, partly modern, partly brocante. Very tastefully designed. We had a room at the front side with beautiful view on the wine fields. The room, called Frerie, did not get internet connection as promised. You had to go to the small hall in...

There are six rooms, all very well equipped. The hotel is located in a small square across the church. Exquisite restaurant! We had dinner on the lovely terrace outside. The staff was very attentive. It is a quiet village which ensures a good night's sleep after all those delicacies from the menu. Breakfast was full of nice surprises, homebaked bread,...
