The photos on booking.com must be very old or customised because this hotel is in a bad shape and clearly need to be renovated if it wants to keep 4 stars. From the outside with broken stairs and a random look of the building (i thought it was closed) to the inside with old and poorly cleaned rooms (hairs on the pillow, dirty wall+ceiling) and a spa without warm sauna/ hammam and an outside area that is not ready to welcome many summer tourists. We changed the room from 2nd to 4th floor and except of clean walls the room was not worth a superior category. Around 132€ per night with a small breakfast buffet (despite of covid-19 measures) is a lot for this formerly attractive hotel that needs a fresh up and professional welcome staff. After a 5 minutes walk you can reach a small stony beach and many restaurants next to the harbour. Cheers!…
it's a bad hotel, poor in every way! Old furniture, dirt, bad smell in the rooms, poor and inadequate breakfast, in short it is a black hotel more black than leather.Dirty and old carpet, zero reception, unkempt people all negative
I stayed in this Hotel two years ago and was impressed enough to re book it for a five day stay last week . Oh how things have changed !! Because our flight was over 2 hours late we did not arrive at Reception until 0115 am in the morning . Reception was unmanned and we stood there for over 15 minutes . Being familiar with the lay out of the Hotel I went looking in the Bar and kitchen area for the Night Porter who eventually found me coming out of the same area . He was disheveled and half asleep but eventually checked us in . I did not find this particularly professional. We were assigned Room 414 a suite overlooking the sea. The following morning and in daylight the room was 'tired' and in need of attention ...the 3 seater couch was ripped in two places and one of the net curtains was torn . The state of the room was passable but not that of a 4* Hotel .I reported the incident of the previous night to the Reception the following morning . Whilst my comments were politely taken on board I did think that a pram and a baby were 'out of place ' in a hotel reception ( clearly belonging to one of he ladies behind the desk ) That same day and having seen the state of the outdoor pool my partner found it necessary to complain further as both of us thought it was dirty had bits of paper floating on the surface and was dirty on the bottom and the general 'all around the pool ' including the kiddies section was grubby . Having checked and as a result of our findings that previous complainants were answered by management who simply said why did nobody contact them - something could have been done ...we set about e mailing the management e mail address ( confirmed by reception) our views . No reply was received during our stay despite the fact that we told reception only to be greeted by a shrug of the shoulders. This is all a great shame as the position of the Hotel is excellent ...the car parking not that bad but that's really where it stops as everything else can only be rated very poor . I will certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone else visiting the delightful resort of St Raphael. 10% was deducted from our bill without any understandable explanation but to be honest I would rather have spoken to the owner and pointed out the shortcomings of this once really good hotel . All it would take is someone to look after the pool on a daily basis and make the pool surrounds tidy and attractive and a House Manager to ensure the rooms are of a 'suites' status. In other words a bit of TLC ....shame as it was once a very nice tourist hotel .…
Reasonably priced hotel when you consider the proximity and view of the French Riviera. Good pool area and decent rooms - room for improvement on the sofa bed and the gear in the fitness area. Nice breakfast albeit expensive considering the variety.
Stayed 2 nights during my husband's business trip. Hotel located a bit away from the main part of town, but there are great restaurants at the marina just a few minutes walk away. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning very appreciated. Sadly we did not get the chance to use the spa facilities (included in the price of the room). We had a room with a sea view and the balcony was large enough for a table and 2 chairs. While the price if the breakfast seemed high, there was an enormous choice of breakfast items (eggs, yogurt, cold cuts, fruit, pancakes, bacon, pastries, toast, cereal, and more). Would consider staying again in the future.
