I would say this hotel is good for couples, families or anyone wanting a very very quiet experience in Nice. The bar closes very early and actually feels quite desolate/ unwelcoming so not sure you'd really want to stay there for a beer/ vin blanc anyway. The hotel's facade/ frontage is quite grand and we had a really nice view...

Great welcoming staff. However the hotel is not at the level you would expect from a four stars hotel. Rooms would definetely need to be refurbished : old looking, old bathroom, way too hot in the room, ....

Dear Guest, We are sorry to read that the room you’ve stayed in during your last visit at the Hotel Ellington did not meet your expectations. As you may know, the hotel was built in 1920 and offers 110 rooms with many different decorations. For your next stay, we suggest you to try another concept with another decoration which hopefully...

Service was warm, friendly, personable and professional. Lovely room looking out over summer patio. All parts of the hotel very clean. Quiet jazz music and cocktails every evening in bar - very relaxing. The location is in a nice residential area and just a few minutes walk from the Airport bus stop; from the lovely Paillon Promenade /park. It is...

Staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are neat and tidy, a little dated even with the upgrade provided, but still nice. Central location, walking distance to the centre of town and shopping centre. All in all good experience.

I have stayed here a few times, and whilst aspects of the experience are good, so many are not up to scratch. Recently stayed for a week early December and enjoyed the fact that the hotel, and Nice in general was relaxed. Hotel was quiet, not unsurprisingly for this time of year, but absolutely no major issues with the hotel or the staff. Like many have mentioned certain aspects of the hotel decor seem 'tired'. My comment on that is that it's...

Although the Ellington is showing a few signs of wear, it's a lovely relaxed place that grows on you. Comfortable room, if a little small. Our fault as we requested a balcony. That said, sitting out on a November morning in full sun was a real treat. Breakfast, included in the price, is a grand affair, with masses of choice....

Rooms were small. Nice view of the street. The hotel had turned off the AC because it was "winter". We asked for a fan...no fan...sorry. So the room was a bit warm. The bathroom was nice sized but not enough room for toiletry items.
