When in Nice, it is better to opt for a hotel like Au Picardy if you are on a tight budget or if you are smart enough to pay lesser for accommodation and spend the rest of the money on fun, eating out, museums and drinks. The hotel is basic, with low cost prices and fabulous staff! It is run...

Second room (cheaper) we had water leak from the sink during first night and our floor went wet. After that room smelled awful! We had to keep our window open and then noise from street was terrible. We are a family of four, and we loved the Hotel Picardy so much last year we came again to stay this year. It is directly in the old town, directly facing the park and across the street from the modern art museum. The beach is a 5 minute stroll through the old town. The hotel is not fancy at...

A basic hotel --- Room furniture a bit jaded but comfortable bed. Breakfast just bread and jam . But its location is very good --on the edge of the old town with interesting streets and restaurants. In front of the hotel an attractive park leads all the way down to the front ,a ten minutes walk. The 98 bus from...

The hotel is basic accommodations, but clean and friendly. It is located in the heart of the old town, very close to restaurants, etc. City parking is just a few steps away, and the airport bus stop is just as close. All our arrangements were handled very smoothly.

My girlfriend and I returned last week from a brilliant time in nice, the hotel au Picardy is a great place to stay and would happily go back. You can take breakfast there or in a bakery just downstairs of the hotel. Make sure you to let them know if you are arriving late...
