The place itself could use some doing up, but everything else was just great. The rooms and shared bathrooms (you don't get private bathrooms) were spacious and clean. Every room was done up differently, lending a unique character to each one. Ours overlooked a courtyard squared in by adjacent and opposite buildings, which meant that it was nice and quiet... More

We stayed in the triple room and enjoyed our stay. It was great to cook in the kitchen and we made 2 meals during our 3 night stay. The place is very convenient to the train station and the price reflects that it is more a guesthouse than a hotel. Overall quite cheap accomodation - and if you want a... More

Brigitte was a lovely host. Her guesthouse consists of 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 toilet and 1 kitchen. Quite spacious. However, the place is next to the railway, very central but can be quite noisy when the window's opened. The apartment is old so the door can be a bit loud when opening, closing or locking. However, the place was... More

After reading some lovely reviews, we tried to book chez brigitte for our four night trip. We couldn't get the first night so spent at another hostel. On arrival here, my stomach knotted up. Why on earth does the listing forget to mention the rooms overlook the main railway tracks (7 or 8) and an elevated motorway passing through Nice?... More

Due to totlaly unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our trip to Nice. We cancelled through hotels.com as soon as we could. Chez Brigitte charged us as a no show – full charges for our stay! She has refused to back down on this stance. I would not recommend this outfit – out to con money from customers. We are... More

A simple, no fuss b&b tucked unexpectedly in a building that seemed to have a crumbling exterior. In a great location minutes from the SNCF train station and main tram line, with cute welcoming touches, a friendly and easy-going host and a feline house-sitter with great personality. Spacious and cheerful rooms. Breakfast is not included but guests have access to... More

Somehow I missed where it says this is a private home with rooms to rent, rather than a hostel/cheap hotel. So when I would normally ask reception for local info I had no resources. Can I recommend having some local info in each room or in the communal kitchen. This guesthouse is located very close to the train station and... More

Not a lot to say as we didn't spend much time in the room itself. Great location, very handy if you are arriving via train. We didn't really see Brigitte much, but from what we did she was a lovely lady. She wasn't home when we arrived but left instructions for us to find keys. Very different to a lot... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Chez Brigitte for a two night stay while in France. Nice is absolutely beautiful. We were travelling for five weeks across Europe and it was a great city to relax and explore at our leisure. We arrived late by train from Paris and chose the guest house due to it's proximity to the train.... More
