The hotel was seedy but clean and very well located. We had has a room on the street and yet not that noisy. Easy walk to everything. There are far better hotels in town but my wife had just bought a bunch of heavy books and I didn't want to be far from the station. I had no bugs and...

Hotel Alizea is a small budget joint right on the main street of Avignon's old city. It's within easy walking distance of just about all the main attractions, and there's a handy Carrefour grocery store a few doors down across the street (that is, if you'd rather shop there than at the lovely Les Halles market, about a 10 minute...

The hotel is in a very nice position and similar to many other low standard hotels in France. Unfortunately, there is a major inconvenience: a massive infestation of bed bugs (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cimex_lectularius)! It caused my husband about fifty bites and skin rush lasting more than two weeks... Now I understand why it was the only hotel having available rooms on...

Travelling with my two girlfriends, we are young and 'backpacking' and had been staying in hostels previous to this "hotel". We found this place the worst out of everything we stayed in, unfortunately, because Avignon is such a cute town and has so much street presence. This place really was an unfortunate experience, however not terrible! We were paying next...

Hotel is located less than a 5 min walk from the SNCF Central station on the main street into the centre. Don't be put off by the entrance - narrow but leads into a nice petit hotel. The staff are friendly & helpful. My room was clean with a nice en suite shower room & good decor. The shower had...

Stayed in this Hotel for one night. My room was grubby but worst of all there was faeces left, in the tiolet. Even after flushing the toilet bowl as filthy. There were also two beetles in my bed. When this was reporeted to the person on the desk he said I would have to wait til morning to tell the...

The hotel is very well located, on the main road down from Avignon Centre train station towards the Place au Horloge in the centre of town. The room was cleanish, although the sheets did feel a bit damp, which is less than ideal. The room was very cheap, at only EUR46. The staff were not unpleasant, but would not let...

A very basic hotel but well located on the busy Cours Jean-Jaures, close to the station and the centre of town. We found it clean though rather shabby and in need of refurbishment, but the price is low for Avignon, even at Festival time, so perfectly satisfactory for a brief stay (1 or 2 nights max I'd say). No food...

I was adviced 1 day before arriving, by mail, that my booking was cancelled as the hotel was closed. As I did not check my mail, we stood before a closed hotel door in Avignon, by -5 C day temperature. And what a luck it was ! We heart from different sides that the hotel is better avoided. So we...

Okay so the only positive to this place is that it is cheap and close to the sites. But the negatives far out reach the positives. The front desk staff was very friendly which makes me feel a little bad about this review but as a person who travels a lot I need to be honest. The floor in the...
