Wonderful, helpful hospitality by owner; spectacular inner courtyard with rooms surrounding it, beautifully designed with trees, flowers, and seating, and medieval church visible from inside courtyard; clean well-appointed rooms with kitchens; located within easy walking distance to sights, restaurants, shops, grocery store, market; very quiet and protected from street sounds and traffic. Ideal, relaxing, peaceful get-away. Merci!

A recently restored 13th Century abbey! This is old world charm in its truest sense! We stayed in a lovely apartment with a spacious living room (tiny kitchenette tucked away where we could make our breakfasts and store some perishables), separate bedroom, WC and bathroom. Weather permitting (in late September, early October) we could sit on our private balcony overlooking... More

We had a wonderful stay in this newly renovated apartment/hotel. Our hosts were extremely helpful and engaging. Language was not a concern at all and we met others from a number of continents. The courtyard was comfortable place to relax and meet others. The rooms were lovely in design eep. It's a very short walk to the center of town... More

We booked a comfortable studio apartment in this restored monastery. It had a small kitchen which was good for making breakfasts, tea & coffee and heating food. The room was spacious, well designed and comfortable and we had a large modern bathroom. It's in a great location just minutes away from bakeries, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and short walk to... More

Wonderful stay over 10 nights in a restored monastery. Small, intimate and full of character, located only a few hundred metres from the major sites, adjacent to 3-4 bakeries and a supermarket, with a farmers market in the square outside on Saturdays. Apartment was clean, well equipped and access to a courtyard which was shared with the other guests, but... More

Aux Augustins is a character property in a central and atmospheric part of Avignon, which is a really lovely city. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. They are built around a lovely central courtyard and very little street noise can be heard. There's a supermarket within 100m and there are countless bars and restaurants within 5-10 mins walking... Our room looked out on to a beautiful courtyard, in which we were able to enjoy breakfast each morning. The breakfast was traditionally French consisting of fresh fruit, delioous croissant, baguette with homemade apricot jam and yogurt. We also had a choice of coffee or tea. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was adequate for making simple meals or... More

Getting there: no parking. Patrick, the friendly owner, an out of the way parking building and we paid 36 euros for our two days stay in what it was, apparently, somebody's else space, since we got a puncture tire in our car when leaving. We got Patrck's solidarity but nothing more. The apartment was OK but no working TV. Next... More

The price is 15euros (not 18 as you stated) per day,... More
