5 minutes from Rail and Bus stations and easy to find. Almost traffic free narrow street makes for peace and quiet with the occasional midnight conversation seeming to take forever to crescendo and diminish - three middle aged ladies and a black wig at midnight - Shakespeare was here ?. I stayed for 1 night in summer 2016. BAD: bedbugs, noisy, no air conditioning. The hotel appeared clean, although dated, and I had no reason to suspect anything like bedbugs. This Hotel is five minutes walking from the Railway Station and close to the center of town. It has been allowed to become rather tired and in need of an overhaul but it's keen new female proprietor has things in hand. Our room was 'adequate' but the en-suite rather basic. I used Avignon as my homebase when I traveled in the Provence area. The hotel is in a charming side street close to the train station, bus station and walking distance from the town and the Palais du Pape. The room/ hotel was very affordable, clean and welcoming. We went here after asking for somewhere cheap at the local tourist information office. We paid around €65 for an ensuite double room, you can get non-ensuite and/or a single for even cheaper rooms.
