Traveling through southern France we chose Mas de Capelou as our base for three nights. It was perfectly located for our day trips to Saint Remy, Les Baux and Gordes, while not forgetting the property’s convenient location to Avignon’s attractions. At the end of our weary days we opted twice to remain at the Inn and enjoy the French cooking...

This was our second visit to this great bed and breakfast. Jean-Pierre and Catherine do a great job of taking care of their guests. Great dinners prepared by their new chef, Amelie, were a delight each evening. The place was completely renovated on the outside primarily. Much better facilities for guests and the staff. Again, had a wonderful seven day...

Another incredible stay in Clementine. This time we came in October: even during low season, le Mas has not lost any of its charm. The environment is gorgeous and the garden is impeccable. We love everything about this place; the hosts; and Provence; and we will come again and again.

Mas de Capelou provided a perfect base for exploring Provence. Jean-Pierre kindly identified places he recommended we visit, and restaurants for dining. He and his wife were wonderful hosts, and the house and grounds are gorgeous! Breakfast even included bacon and eggs. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

This is about a 10 minute drive from Avignon, and it is certainly a very, very different experience. I stayed during low season - high season must be fantastic. The Clementine apartment is spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The kitchen just lacks a microwave. If you need to wash clothes (the apartment...

This property is located on a river island in the Rhone. It private and feels remote while being just 10 minutes away from Avignon. The property is beautifully landscaped with 400 year old Planetrees, a pear orchard, a fig tree (with a ladder for reaching the good ones) and a pool. Be sure to help yourself to the Belgian White...

I feel really sorry you gave us one of the worst grades we had this year. We did take your input into account immediately : the room now has specific blinders in addition to the regular ones. I can send you a photo if you wish. It is a pity you did not tell us when you were here. I...

100% recommended! Charming place, great, family like service, good location to explore Avignon and Provence (provided you have a car) and nice food (simple, predefined menu). We were also very lucky to get nice, 2 floor apartment (we booked family room) with a view in the property orchard. We will come again!

Glad we splurged a little for a memorable last day in France. Everything about this place was outstanding. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Great airy room, fabulous saltwater pool and beautiful grounds surrounded by pear trees. The added bonus of a delicious home-cooked style dinner in the gazebo was a godsend as we didn't want to...

From the moment we arrived we knew that our stay was going to be special and it was. Large clean room, nice pool and delightful conversation and attention provided by Jean-Pierre. Our two dinners were first class especially the profiteroles! Hope to stay again.

This is the second time we've stayed at Mas de Capelou and it was just as brilliant as the first time. Very comfortable apartment which had everything we needed. The pool was a hit with all the family. Missing the Avignon blue sky, the chorus of cicadas and the wonderful breakfast/pastries. Thank you again Jean-Pierre for your hospitality and kindness.
