Our stay was brief - only one night - but we found the hotel to be convenient and comfortable. The owner/manager is friendly and accommodating, providing secure storage for 8 bikes along with advice on where to find a pharmacy, and where to dine; he was kind enough to allow us the use of the breakfast area - and wine glasses - for a pre-dinner drink. I would not hesitate to recommend this cycle-friendly hotel as a cost-effective alternative when visiting Arles.
We had a great visit to Hotel Constantine, I was surprised to read the other reviews. The hotel is in an ideal location (especially if you have a car) as it's just outside the city center but it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of the city. We did use the private parking which I think they only have one space available. It's at the back of the house and you have to get the manager to open it for you, we only left and came back once per day so it wasn't that inconvenient. We also really loved our room! It was on the top floor and had a window overlooking the canal. It was a triple room with a double bed and a single as well as a desk. It was helpful because we used the single bed to put our luggage on and keep it organized. The manager was really helpful even translating for me and talking to my next hotel person for me since I don't speak French and she did not speak English. I was very appreciative!…
The worst hotel ever. I found a old pizza and a pizza box in the top drawer of the room dresser. The bed was uncomfortable. The toilet made so much noisy and didn’t work well. The front desk was rarely staffed and when it was the receptionist was unfriendly. No rest room in the lobby. We would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
Petit hotel, with small room with air conditioning and TV, near de Centre ville. Very kind staff. Breakfast available. There are Petit restaurants near the hotel. Parking public in front of the hotel.
To be honest we didn't stay in that hotel : as we frequently travel to Arles we had sometimes thought of doing so, but it is not going to happen : a crazy woman insulted us at the door of the hotel, spat on us, threw a shoe at my wife and threatened my mother with death by her cousins, and the owner, who was outside, pretended not to have seen or heard anything. Police was called. Our 5 years old was traumatised. The whole scene arose from our loading our car from the frontdoor of a neighbouring lodging, as the police confirmed was perfectly our right, but the owner sided with our crazy agressor.
